I read the reviews for this Hotel and it had mixed reviews. I thought we would try it, because it was close to everything. I booked two nights. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. But once we got to our room it was awful, located on the 4th floor with a balcony. The room was dirty, it smelled really bad. The sliding door to the balcony did not shut correctly or locked. The door for our room looked like someone kicked it in, it was missing a chain. The carpet was stained, burnt marks in several areas and it smelled really bad. The walls were stained. The bathroom was awful, when we turned on the water it was brown. The sink was ready to fall from the wall and there was hair everywhere.

Eventually, a few hours later we left and went to another hotel The General Manager was very helpful, he offered us another room, but we did not accept. We just had to pay for one day. If the Hotel is not welling to update their rooms. I would suggest that they re-train their maintenance crew to fix things correctly in the rooms and the cleaning crew .

I would also recommend this place for college students on spring break, because the hotel rates are so reasonable and it is across the street from the beach.

Again, I would like to stress that the Front Desk Staff and the General Manager were very friendly and understanding.

They need to repair and/or update their hotel.

  • Liked — The beach was across the hotel and close to activities.
  • Disliked — The room.

Do not stay here. Yes, it is across from the beach and the pool is decent, but the cons far outweigh those pros. Bed linens and towels were clean, but the rooms were shabby, very outdated, stinky and there was plenty that needed repair (photos posted). The carpet in the rooms was incredibly filthy and the hallway was worse. There is no view unless you book one of the "suites." The staff of the hotel and restaurant are barely polite. I wish we had known about the Beach Plaza Hotel next door — also a low-budget hotel, but tile floors, efficiency rooms and $30 cheaper would have made the stay better.

Last time I was in Ft Lauderdale I stayed at a terrible hotel, i stopped by the Seaclub and spoke with the desk clerk and he told me next time I was in town stop by and he would "take care of me". I called and spoke with him and booked my room and he gave me a most excellent rate. Even though he'd already quit by the time I got to my vacation he made sure my rate stuck and after telling the new clerk - Fritz about my ordeal the last time I was in town he "hooked me up". I had a wonderful room located in the back of the building with a balcony. It was quite and clean. Fritz also gave me a drink ticket and there was Kareokee. The ladies putting on the Kareokee were so nice they invited me and my freind to sit at their table and introduced us to their friends. Thank you Fritz and thank you Sea club Resort for helping make my vacation very enjoyable.

Stayed for a weekend trip of shopping, sun and nightlife. The hotel has a Parrot and didn't really say much. Same goes for the hotel. Our room was located in the back tower building beside the outdoor stairwell that had no lock. The rooms were generally clean and secure but outdated. Room numbers had former Ramada labeling. Location is the number one thing as it was across from the beach. Hotel staff were friendly enough and accommodating. The Deck Restaurant was average and the cost was fair. The last evening there was horrible at the Deck bar. Elvis impersonator was terrible and the older female bar server with blond hair was the worst server we ever had and was rude and abrupt. Waited for an order that wasn't even filled and drinks were watered down. She had no class whatsoever. Food and beverage needs can be filled nearby. The hotel really needs some consistency and a make over to be more successful. Same goes for the Bar/Restaurant. They need to hire more cultured people.

  • Liked — The Price and Location
  • Disliked — Inconsistent Service and Dated

My wife, our teenager kid and I stayed at the Sea Club Resort, I read the recent reviews a week before we left for the Sea Club Resort, but after I booked it for three nights, and it scared me.
The staff was very nice and helpful at the front desk, the room was Ok, we just used it for sleeping.

I injured a finger in a car door and needed to be stitched together, and again the guy at the frontdesk was very helpful.

The Bar, The Deck, was also great!, The Friday night Elvis impersonator has been seen better, but the music was great.

After reading more reviews I can not understand, if this is the same hotel we are talking about, it’s a affordable tourist hotel, with a great location, we are talking about.
I wonder who has promised you a Ritz experience.
I have to say that all in all, our stay at the Sea Club was nice.
