Upon arriving, the place looks nice from the outside. Lobby is pretty. Goes down hill from there. Elevators had expired certificates in them. Carpets all looked old. Room needs many repairs. Shower would leak all over the floor from faucet head. Balconies had very poor view and hate that all basically shared one. Bar and restaurant grossly overpriced- explains why no one was ever in the restaurant. Not allowed any outside food or drinks but have to because hotel overcharges for everything. Nice to have grocery store, McDonalds and other places within walking distance. Pool towels were very nasty- either bleach stains or red stains of some sort??? Wonderful access to the beach. Nice pool and pool area. Staff is not very friendly but valet attendants were very kind!!! Get what you pay for.

Stayed here on the second leg of a business trip and it was a pretty awful experience. We were forced to stay here due to an event in Miami that sold out most of the hotels in that area, and we wanted to stay beachfront in Fort Lauderdale. Boy did we make a mistake. Rooms/corridors were older and the carpets were pretty dirty. Our room had a view of the roof of the hotel which was filled with garbage. The pool area was about the only area of the whole place that was nice, but it was ruined by some rowdy guests who were drinking beer out of thermoses. The beach was small in front of the hotel, and in order to get a chair you needed to rent one from the hotel. In fact, you have to pay for almost everything here, from internet access to chairs by the pool. The best moment of the whole trip was when we went out to our rental car before we went to our meeting and a prostitute offered her services right in the hotel parking lot, who told us she frequents the hotel pool looking for customers and no one has ever chased her away! If this sounds like you're kinda place then go ahead but there are much nicer hotels in the area for a similar price.

We did Hotwire, which doesn't tell you the name of the resort until you book. We found a $62 a night, beachfront 3 star hotel, and booked it, and this was it!

The location is excellent! It has a decent pool, although the patio stones get burning hot, but the beach is very close, which is nice. It's much cooler down there. You do have to pay to use the beach chairs and/or umbrellas, so plan ahead. If you use the hotel's towels, you have to show them a paper you get at check in, and turn them in by 6pm daily or you get charged $10 each.

The pool elevator was broken 3 of the 4 days we were there. I don't recommend trying it, as we got stuck in it for about 5 minutes, and when it's 90 outside, and the elevator isn't air conditioned, it gets HOT!

The rooms were clean, and the fridge large and cold. The patio, although not private, was not loud or busy.

There is a breakfast place just past Wings when you go out front and turn left, probably 1/8 of a mile. They have a 2 egg, potatoes & toast breakfast for $2.99! A little further down was Ocean's Bar, which was AWESOME! The food and service was fantastic. We took a cab one night each in each direction from the hotel. First to the pier, and went to 101 Ocean and to Aruba, both of which were fun, and then we walked back the mile or so along the beach.

We went the opposite direction and had a mediocre and expensive meal at steakhouse H2O. Would not recommend it.

We saw sting rays, 10' tarpons and baby sharks in the very shallow water, so be careful, but the natives say they won't hurt you... I didn't stick around to find out.

We had a great stay, and the price didn't hurt either!

We stayed in a suite as a family of five. It was okay. Things were pretty much falling apart. Plus, the staff is horrible. There was no one at the front desk when we went to check in at 6 p.m. A valet parking guy had to go find someone for us. The service was very indifferent, at best. The place was way overpriced for its completely run-down state. Things were broken everywhere. There is a restaurant, but there was never anybody there -- it looked closed all the time we there, though we had to walk through it to get the the beach, as the beach access elevator was broken. I could go on and on about the things that didn't work or were falling apart.

There was a plus, though -- the pool area was nice, and the beach access was wonderful. We enjoyed getting up early every morning and walking the beaches. So, if you get a great deal, this is a safe place to stay, if all you want to do is swim in the pool, sit in the hot tub, and go to the beach. Otherwise, find another place.

We were heading to Ft lauderdale for A special dinner and needed a place to stay so not to make the 2 hour drive home. I found an amazingly cheap deal on Hotwire and took it. First Impressions of the hotel when you walk in aren't bad. I had tried to put the bad reviews I'd read out of my mind it seemed okay. Yes the parking/safe box fee is obnoxious, especially when the valet guy was never around so we were just parking and retreiving the car ourselves. When we got off the elevator to head to our room you could immediately smell the age and old funk of the hotel. The room was okay, clean, but the bedspreads and linens are so old they really make you wonder. The carpet was constantly damp and sticky. The balcony that you basically share with everyone on your floor, had a nice view of the ocean ( just turn your head from the old rooftop and dirty restaurant ally). Basically I'm glad we were only here to sleep after many cocktails and not have to stay long. It"s really more like an old motel on the beach with a pool and some toys. It is very convenient to a grocery store dunkin donuts and a few restaurants. It seemed to appeal to a certain party crowd that maybe if I was a college student here on spring break I wouldn't mind it either. I am really glad I only paid 62$!!!
