Stayed at the hotel on my wedding night even after all the bad reviews. The hotel was an average hotel and did not disturb us from our peaceful stay. However, there was construction the second morning, but that was to be expected after reading all the latest reviews.

We just spent four heavenly days at the Ocean Sky. The location is incredible! At the end of our hallway there was an elevator that led directly to the pool area. (that was terrific because we did not have to worry about walking through the hotel or lobby in our bathing suits and it was easy to take a quick break back to our room if desired) The pool was clean and warm. From the very large pool deck we overlooked the ocean. A few steps led to a clean beach with great water, shelling, etc. There were water sport rentals right there too.
We ate at the pool side restaurant and the food was good and not very expensive. The tiki bar however was a little pricy. We paid $9 for a pina colada.
The staff was very friendly, respectful and accomodating.
Our room was a standard size but it was clean and comfortable and we liked having a frig and microwave.
There were many restaurant and store choices within walking distance (try Greek Islands - it was awesome).

My daughter and I spent the weekend at this hotel. I was pleasantly surprised at the warmth of the staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and the BEACH!
As we were on a budget, the location of the hotel to restaurants, food shopping and souvenirs was a really nice perk. The restaurant and the bar were a little pricey, but we had other options which was nice.

I wanted to share with everyone my experience at the Ocean Sky Hotel & Resort... I have read so many bad comments on this site about the Ocean Sky, and believe me, it was hard in the begining to make my reservations, because of the bad remarks, but I do not understand why so much negativity .I arrived May 15, 2008 For my husband's birthday mini vacation. I requested chocolates and and wine to be in the room before I arrived. At check in a young lady by the name of Cecilia, helped me with getting situated.

When I went upstairs to the room to my surprise aside from chocolates and wine we had a basket made by the hotel informing us, that we were selected as their special guest, and they wanted us to have a warm welcome.

I was facinated by their pool deck, it had a phenominal beach front view like you would not imagine. The service at the Tiki Bar was great. A young man by the name of Scott was so freindly and extremely helpful through out the entire stay.

I wanted to thank the entire staff on behalf of my husband, and of course myself for making my mini vacation an amazing trip.
