I was looking for a place that was convenient to Wilton Manors and was reasonably priced on Expedia.com. It was not a 5-star resort but I wasn't expecting one. I only had two complaints. Each day, it was a toss up as to whether or not we would get washcloths. We had the same problem next door at the Ocean Manor. The only other problem was the Valet Parking. It was $8 per day and then you felt compelled to tip the valets. That gets pretty expensive if you come and go several times a day. I really saw no need for it anyway. It's not as though they were double parking the cars. They all had their own spaces. It seems to be the new norm though in Florida.

I would not recommend this hotel. First off, you share a balcony. Second is that they were doing construction the whole time we stayed here. They are working on the roof and it smells like tar in the whole building. Not something I wanted to wake up to everyday. Drinks are very expensive at the tiki bar.. And my biggest issue was that they were sealing the pool so they shut the pool down for three days. We were not made aware of this when we booked this trip. :They could of at least made arrangements for us to go to another pool. The good part is it is a great location but I would stay at the the hotel next door next time. DO NOT STAY HERE.. IT IS A ALSO A VERY SCARY PLACE!!!!

My husband and I were looking forward to staying in this hotel Memorial Day weekend because it seemed like a decent place for the money and the location was great.

The accomodations were ok for the age of the building but the hotel leaves a lot to be desired. Part of the money they spent on renovations for the main lobby should of gone to the actual place the guests stay in.. "The rooms"!!! They have also neglected the elevators ( another very important factor ) as guests do not want to get stuck in an elevator on their vacation!!!

We called the beach elevator and after we boarded it we immediately knew that it was a big mistake. The doors were very beat up, slow and labored. When we arrived at the third floor, the doors would not open and we had to push every button to finally get them to open. The gentleman in the elevator with us got out at that point and proceeded to take the stairs to the 8th floor.

You're gonna love what happens next....we figured since check out was at 11:00 a.m. on Memorial Day, we would stay up a little later. At 8:00 a.m. on Memorial Day, we started hearing loud banging and heavy machinery outside our window. We had noticed that the roof underneath us was having some repairs done, but we never expected that they would be scheduled on a major holiday.

We think it is highway robbery to fully book your hotel and allow people to trustingly spend their hard earned money on a vacation without forwarning them that there would be construction going on that day. Thus, allowing them an opportunity to make an intellegent decision about where they want to stay.

The Hotel could of had the consideration of scheduling these repairs for the day after the holiday when most of the weekend people had already checked out This disgust.. I think was being expressed by an extensive number of guests that were checking out along side of us. Many negative comment cards were being filled out on that day.

We are aware that negative experiences happen to everyone but these are the kinds of things that should not be allowed to occur. If you are such a popular spot, the hotel should concern itself with quality assurance as well as the monetary end of it. NONE OF THE ONLINE SITES USED TO BOOK THE RESERVATION HAD ANY WARNINGS ABOUT THIS SITUATION.

UNFAIR!!!!!

My husband and I will definitely never stay here again and will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Stayed the weekend of May 16, 2008. My room was smack in the middle of some family reunion and I think a prom. The kids were running up and down the hall after midnight. The walls are paper thin so of course I was awakend at 3:45am by a screaming baby whose parents apparently were oblivious to it's needs since it went on for 30 minutes. At that point I went into the restroom turn on the light and was greeted by scattering roaches. I was not happy. Go to the desk in the morning and get assured of a new room...come back when it is supposedly ready all to be told they were sold out but I could have a double bed. That was fine by me...but the manager was the nastiest disgruntled person I've come across in a long while. Who the heck would want to stay in a room under those conditions? I would not recommend this hotel...oh yeah the constant smell of propane was nauseating and the food was bland and cold. Oh and to add insult to injury (not that the hotel is responsible)...the morning I left...as a parting gift there were nude pictures of women all over the waiting area outside of the elevators.
