This hotel is clean but very old. It does not have a decent lobby or restaurant. At one time, I can only assume that it was a beautiful first class hotel. Now, though, it is in serious need of a facelift. There were two people in our room, but each day we were given only one wash cloth. The towels needs replacing. They were so worn that I could not wipe myself dry without scraching myself. Would I recommend it? Yes, if you just want a place today without fringes. No, if you are looking for entertainment, classy restaurants, entertainment, etc.

For all the whiners. STAY HOME! The leaking in the ceiling or near the air vent is due to condensation from leaving the slider open (Florida Humidity). I had it, 2 and went to the front desk, maintenace came within 5 minutes. Close the slider, it's fine-no more drip. The room was fine, no complaints at all. View was great. I had my dog here, also great for us. Parking was a one time fee of $7.00 for the week, valet parking. Staff completely courteous and attentive. Food is excellent but service a little slow. Beach is clean and for the $ you pay to stay here you certainly cannot go wrong. It is an older hotel, circa 1960's I believe but again, if you are a whiner you will find something wrong in another hotel as well. No complaints here, I will be booking again next summer at this hotel. We had a great stay. We were in Room 914 and I saw a few of the other rooms around me, all great.

A group of 80 plus of us just completed a fun weekend at Ocean Manor. It is situated right on a beautiful beach & has the Tiki Hut right there for your needs.
The pool is big & beautiful too.

We had our meals in the Penthouse Dining Room & it was magnificant. The food was great and we had decks where we could rest and visit in between courses.

Mary, the event planner, worked with us attentively for several months, everything turned out beautifully and we had a great comprehensive price. Michael, the manager was available and about much of the time. Richard helped us with entertainment information and was very informative.

I am a college professor where we have a Hospitality Major for college students. I would recommend that they visit this hotel for role models.

The hotel was built in the 1950's and needs some updating. The rooms on the lower floors are pretty basic where the 5th & above flooors have been renovated and updated.

It is a wonderful value for the price--I don't see how we could have done better! Thanks for the good time Ocean Manor!

I read the reviews and was really worried about staying here. I had been in Miami staying at the Loews first so if this hotel was crappy I wanted to move. I had won a penthouse suite from a silent auction and from the photos it looked ok. The hotel itself is more like a condo. The front desk is very old and the staff are super casual. No real normal amenities like a hotel. Barbie and Rich were awesome! Characters but awesome. Our room was actually pretty incredible - a bit outdated but clean enough just old furniture. The penthouses (and most of the rooms) are owned privately and they pay the hotel mgmt to clean and maintain the rooms. Since there are different owners, thats why the quality of the rooms vary SO much. I had a choice of a 1 bedroom penthouse and a 3 bedroom penthouse (owned by the same woman) and they were fine. Opted for 1BR because I liked the bed better. The penthouse nextdoor however was shooting a rap video. That one was baller and super modern so it's really hit or miss. I'd stay again only in a penthouse. The beach was great (albeit you pay for everything but it's so cheap down there, so what). The breakfast at the cabana or wahtever you call it was gross but the lunch food was all right. The drinks at the tiki bar was great. It was certainly an interesting experience and my friend and I would go back just because it was so different! (Oh and when I say penthouse this isn't the lap of luxury - it's Fort Lauderdale, stay in West Palm if you want that).
