The hotel is a great value especially for a beach town like Fort Lauderdale. When I first booked the hotel, I thought, "well, it's a Best Western" but I picked it for its location and the price. It's about 15 minutes away from the airport and a 5 minute walk from the beach. But the hotel is actually quite nice- the rooms are more than comfortable and seemed newly renovated. The free breakfast offered more selections than I expected... waffle makers, eggs, sausage... not your typical bagels and cereal (although they also have that). The only downside is that hallways seemed a bit dark and humid, but I wouldn't dismiss the hotel for this minor point. If I'm back in Fort Lauderdale, I would stay here again.

Overall - GREAT stay/experience!

STAFF: The front desk was always helpful AND friendly - I mean SMILING friendly. The bartender was weird at first, but I think our humor turned her around.

FOOD: The bar food was normal. However, the breakfast was amazing for being free! Hot waffle irons, breakfast sausages, fresh fruit and coffee, cereal, and more. We were amazed at the selection.

BEACH: You simply have to walk past another hotel to get to the beach. No crossing any streets! You cannot see the beach from the hotel, but that doesn't really matter. The beach was never crowded.

LOCATION: You already know about the beach. The nightlife is about a 10 minute walk away. Its such a great atmosphere. Live music on the sidewalk outside of tons of restaurants. Friendly people. Great shops.

I think next time I visit Ft. Laud, I would stay here again!

We thought this hotel was great. We found it on hotwire.com for only $60. The hotel looks a little dated but the rooms seem to have been recently renovated. Pool looked nice although we didn't go in. A little bit of construction noise due to the apartment being built across the street but that was during the day time when we were out. The hotel is just steps from the beach. It had an awesome hot breakfast included with Belgian Waffles, eggs etc. Staff were very friendly and helped us out quite a bit when we were figuring out how to get to our next location. I would definitely go back there again. It is also really close to Port Everglades which was a big plus as we just got off a cruise ship.

My mother and I stayed at the Best Western Oceanside Inn in late April on a little beach vacation. We both enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and was very close to the beautiful Ft. Lauderdale beach. The staff members were friendly and helpful and the breakfast buffet was great. There were a variety of choices including scrambled eggs, corned beef hash, grits, make your own waffles with different fruit toppings, and more. The pool area was nice, and there were also several dining choices within walking distance from the hotel.
