As a travel agent, I stay at lots of hotels, everything from Ramada's to Shangri'las, and I am confident in saying that the Best Western Oceanside far exceeds the Best Western Standards. We booked two nights here on either end of a Caribbean Cruise. When we first stepped into the hotel, it pretty much looked like any other Best Western, we took the elevator which unfortunatley for some reason isn't air conditioned (which as a boy from up north already adjusting to the heat in florida) found it rather uncomfortable. I had asked ahead if we could get a room with a good view as it was mine and my partners first trip to florida. The hotel is right on the beach, but unfortunatley is blocked from a good view by the Sheraton next door, however they blocked me into one of only 3 rooms with an oceanview. The front desk agents were some of the most helpfull I have ever experienced, they knew where we should go to eat, where the best food was, and they even gave us specific help when we asked about bathingsuits as we left ours at home. Checking out was a breeze, the only thing I suggest, is that due to this hotel's location, they really should have a shuttle to the cruise pier. Our last stay after the cruise was even better. Best Western had made a mistake with our reservation and had booked us for the wrong day, and we didnt realize it untill we were getting off the ship. I had hoped to get into the same room, but they said the carpets were being shampoo'd, so they upgraded us to the absolutley massive jacuzzi suite, no view, but that suite was bigger than my condo, so yea, it was a very pleasent suprise. From beginning to our final goodbyes this hotel did their absolute best to make our stay memorable, something that far to many hotels lack. I hope the Best Western chain takes a look at whats going on at this hotel, because if all Best Westerns dealt with guests in this manner, they would be sold out every night!!

The Oceanside was very nice, clean and resonably priced. Every morning, there was a complimentary, full breakfast. The hotel is very close to the beautiful beach and an ideal location for anyone who needs a room before or after cruising. Very close to cruise terminals. All in all, I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, safe, ideally located Fort Lauderdale hotel who is not going to spend their entire stay in the room.

My beautiful wife and I from Pikesville, Maryland stayed at this lovely hotel near the beach at the end of May,08. for 6 nights. We picked this place based on other trip advisor reviews and from driving by some years ago when looking for a good location. The hotel is charming and very convenient to the beach.The rooms were clean and we were very happy. The front desk was friendly and professional. An added feature was being able to order pizza and icecream from the bar at night. The pool was very clean and we enjoyed our swims. The parking garage has a number of pillars but posed no problem for our rented Ford Taurus. It was nice to come into the hotel from the parking lot without getting wet. Yes, the $5.00 charge daily was no suprise but for what we got overall, we will absolutely tell our friends and return to this lovely hotel. Also, there is a Mariott within 5 minutes of walking that has excellent dining inside for a change of pace.
The beach was beautiful and one could see their feet while in the
ocean. We had pelicans dive for fish near us. Overall, it was a great experience.

We chose this for our precruise motel and hated to leave it! The rooms were gorgeous and very modernly decorated! Great deal through travelocity! Would highly recommend this one! Would love to go back just to stay at motel for a vacation. Kids loved the pool and a very short walk to the gorgeous water!! Walking or driving distance to hot spots but far enough away that its not too loud or wild with kids! We had a great stay!
