We would stay again if going on a cruise. Hotel is clean but outdated. Breakfast is good to get you started in the morning. Staff is nice and everyone was helpful except Pauline at the front desk, she needs to smile more and be more helpful. She seemed to be not very caring and bored with her job.

Staying here for the second time (first time was Oct 2011) and everything is as good as it was then: convenient pool, great location (3 min walk to the beach), breakfast waaay improved (it used to be just a variety of break 1.5 yrs ago, now they have bacon, cheese, cutlets, fruits, tomatoes, scrambled eggs, corn flakes), comfortable beds, large parking lot ($10/night though). Suggestions for improvements? Just one thing: change the whole reception team, they are rude, unfriendly and unwelcoming.

We had a great time the bartender was fun, Free breakfast, the rooms were clean and the pool was nice. It is going to be remodeled soon. Walking distance to stores, bars. There is a trolley for 50 cents each way that takes you to the malls. Taxi is average 15 to 20 dollars from the airport. The beach is about 2 blocks away.

Room Tip: We were on the top floor it was quiet

We chose this Best Western facility because of our past experiences with this chain and were not dissappointed. Although there were new guests arriving every day our rooms were ready when we checked in. The rooms were large, comfortable & clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful, from the front desk to the service staff. The location is great - near to shops, restaurants, the beach & airport.
The breakfast buffet had ample choices and the dining area was comfortable although sometimes there was a wait to be seated. We enjoyed our stay.

Staff was very accomodating, helpful and friendly. We arrived early, our room was ready, and we were invited for the breakfast. The front desk was helpful with answering questions about public transportation and directions.
The breakfast was excellent--a great variety and items were kept full. Our room was comfortable, very clean, and quiet (even being beside the ice machine and elevator). The traffic from the street was a little loud at rush hour times. The bed was comfortable, the television had a good variety of stations, the room had a mini refrigerator, microwave, and safe, the complimentary tolietries were nice (Bath and Body Works), and there were lots of towels. There was a little deck to walk out on, but not too much to see from it.
The pool was heated and clean, and the front desk has pool towels (as many as you need). The bar had very reasonable prices for food ($7 for a sandwhich) and drinks ($5 for a mixed drink) until 11 PM, and it was relaxing just to hang out there in the evenings.
The location was just a short walk to the beach, a 10 minute walk to bars/restaurants, and right on the bus line (#40)/Sun Trolley Line. We took a cab to/from the airport (about $20), we rode the Sun Trolley (50 cents one way or $2 for a day pass, runs 10 AM to 6:30 PM) to get our bearings along the beach front and down Las Olas Blvd. We also took the city bus ($1.75 per trip or $4 all day or $16 for a week pass--buy tickets on the bus) as the #40 went past the hotel (and just a 10 minute ride to the Harbor Place with lots of grocery stores, restaurants and shops), and we changed to the #11 to ride down to the shops/restaurants/activities on Las Olas Blvd. The beach was clean, and had picnic tables and trees for shade, as well as lifeguards on duty.
We recommend eating at Southport Raw Bar on Cordova Street (from the hotel, walk across the street and take the bus across the bridge, at the shopping plazas, get off on Cordova Street where the Winn Dixie grocery store is, make a right on Cordova, and it's just a few blocks on the right). The food was excellent, but the fish tacos and Old Bay shrimp were the best! The bill was about $40 for two adults. We sat outside on the waterfront. Just aroud the corner from there is Lady Helen Fishing Charters, were we did a 6 hour fiishing trip with Captain Jeff that was awesome! At the beach front, just around the corner from the Elbo Room, we at at Beach Pizza, and had a great slice of cheese pizza and a soda for $4.50.

My husband and I stayed here before and after our cruise. It was clean and the people were friendly. We are simple people so it was just fine for us. The pool area is just beautiful. The breakfast was great! Before the cruise one of the ladies at the desk ( sorry I dont remember her name ) even printed us a map to the park-n-go. Then after our cruise, we arrived at 6:30 am we weren't suppose to check in till 3:00 pm but they let us park our truck and eat the breakfast that they had. That was real nice she didn't have to do that! The breakfast was great too! Now there is a $10 fee to park at the hotel, and if you have a big truck like us it's a little tricky. But we managed just fine. As far as the fee, it's ok cause you can walk to the beach. We will be staying here again! Loved it! Thank you for a great stay!

Room Tip: Both rooms we had were good and clean. But room 305 had a good view of the pool!

Place is very nice and clean. And staff very polite. My 3rd time going,I like the fact that the beach is right behind the hotel and also there was barbecue grills that my self and friends definitely used it.

Room Tip: Last I was on first floor, this time was pool side. Very nice
