Hidden among condominiums is Il Lugano, beautifully appointed hotel rooms. We were upgraded to a Jr. suite which had a kitchen and laundry, living room, balcony with ocean view. Firm bed with deluxe linens and pillows, very comfy. The valets very friendly and gave us a dining tip to eat along the waterway at a casual place,, grill and sports bar called Shooters. They had great food and fun ambience watching the yachts go up the canal. If you walk its only 2 blocks but a scary area so you might want to drive the short distance.

We stayed here for 4 nights prior to a Cruise out of Miami. What a great spot, overlooking the water. Staff were helpful & friendly in all areas, even although there was disruption due to extensions happening.Great value for money. We used the Water Taxi service a few times & also the Fort Lauderdale Trolley bus. We did have to work out our own system to co-ordinate the two which is something the front desk staff could have better advised on. This would have saved us time! Trip to Port of Maimi was fairly expensive from here as we couldn't find a shuttle bus to do the trip.
Great variety of restaurants nearby & other shops in walking distance.

We stayed for one night before our cruise and we were pleasantly suprised by the size of the room. The room was lovely and comfortable and really helped cheer me up when I was unwell. It is close to shops and restaurants and has a great view of the intercoastal highway.

The staff is impeccably professional and discreet, the lobby has a chic dreamlike quality no hustle and bustle here, just an effortless elegance. The Lugano Suite was as beautiful as the rest of the hotel two large rooms with high ceilings, a super comfortable bed with quality lines, floor to ceiling windows and a huge terrace impeccably decorated in a modern style. The restaurant is gorgeous with beautifully prepared food, fantastic service and dramatic canal views. Il Lugano is truly a treat for the senses.
