Perfect weekend at resort. Room was large-kept clean-and quiet. Staff was super friendly and helpful(dennis-thanks for getting my room ready even though I showed up 3 hrs early). Two properties meant two choices-usual wild fun with the boys on worthington side at night--or mellow/quiet time on alcazar side. 3 blocks to beach..very safe area,,met many other friendly guests ages 25-60..the place just worked for me-will return.

Third time I've stayed at the Alcazar - property adjacent to Worthington, which costs a bit more and has more amenities in the rooms. Rooms in Alcazar are clean and well kept. However, office, computer, breakfast, and happy hour are all on Worthington side. Landscaping around pool is lusher, but more sun (in March) around Alcazar pool.

Diverse crowd -- generally friendly and many repeats. Near beach -- a bit of a hike to Sebastian St., but quite doable.

Must have a car to get to Wilton Manors and shopping. Taxis add up very quickly. Only 15-20 minutes to airport, but avoid beach traffic on weekend afternoons (don't take 17th St. Causeway; instead use Rt. 1 to Sunrise).

One day of rain out of five -- finished a novel.

Plan to go back as good value for money and stays fuller during the week.

Really concerned about the condition of this property, which has clearly taken a steep drop since the last time I stayed here in April 2007.

Our room had a cracked front window, and the bathroom was what one expects in a one-star motel on US1: chipped bathtub, rusty towel rack, noisy air conditioner, horrible tile work, mold all over. Wi-fi did not work the first night either, but did work the second day.

Management was completely uncooperative in our efforts to either get a better room or allowing us to check out early and get a refund on the second night.

I'm sorry but I couldn't recommend this place to anyone.

I highly recommend this place. Both the staff and fellow guests were extremly friendly. The room was clean and big. We liked the place so much that we booked it again in Dec 08.
