My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Cocobelle for a week in mid-July. We had researched the hotel on Trip-Advisor and loved their virtual tour and pictures of the rooms on their website. Everything that people are saying about this place is true... it is truly beautiful! We stayed in a one-bedroom apartment (very reasonable) and the first thing we noticed about it was how clean and fresh it was. It had everything we needed...towels, shampoo, soap, cofee for the coffee maker, kitchen towels, dishwashing soap, etc.. We did not have to purchase much of the "extras" for the week, which was a big help to our wallets! We would walk to the beach each day (a short 5 minute walk) and then relax by the pool until dinner. The pool area is just stunning. There are palm trees surrounding for lots of privacy and a nice heated pool (90 degrees). You don't have to worry about loud noise levels from other guests; there are only 16 units. In fact, we had the pool to ourselves almost every day. They provide you with huge beach towels, beach chairs, toys, umbrellas, whatever you need for the beach. Since we flew, and could not obviously bring these items with us, it was so nice having them provided. Dorothee and Ernest, the owners, live on the property in one of the units, and are available at any hour. They provide maps of the area and can recommend restaurants and shops to visit. They are just wonderful people. They definitely made our stay comfortable! I would highly recommend the Cocobelle Resort - it is truly a gem!

  • Liked — It's small size and cleanliness.
  • Disliked — It would have been nice to have two televisions in the apartment.

We stayed at the Cocobelle Resort for one week before our cruise from Miami with my son and daughter-in-law. On arrival we were greeted and helped to our room with the cases. After we had settled in we went to reception and was given lots of information to help us enjoy the stay there. We had a hire car but the walk to the beach took only a matter of minutes. We were offered a larger room but declined the offer. We had room 15 which had ample space. We also had a fridge, coffee machine, toaster and microwave plus cutlery and crockery. This was very handy as we bought bread, cereals and jam and made out own breakfast every morning and ate it by the pool. We were also give the use of the laundry which was very helpful. It was always very quiet at night and this meant that we all got a good nights sleep. The pool area was small but just enough space to read a book on the sunbeds and a pool big enough for a swim. I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Fort Lauderdale.

News travel fast, friends told us of this lovely little location in Ft. Lauderdale. Everything is super clean, run by the owners, great service, no staff with excuses....etc., etc. It offers a real opportunity to take time out and have a relaxing time. Highly recommended!

We stayed at this property just before we embarked on a cruise out of Port Everglades. We thought we would stay a night and check out Fort Lauderdale. We loved our stay! Everything was clean and comfortable and we even had a swim in the pool.

Location: Only a few blocks from the beach (and a beautiful beach it is) but it is a bit of a walk to some of the main areas on the blvd, beachfront, and the water taxi. If you have a car, great, otherwise be prepared to walk a bit in the heat or take a taxi. There's isn't much of a night life on the street outside the hotel. It is quiet, however...which really adds to the relaxing ambience of the hotel.

Service: The owner lady at the front desk was very helpful and presented us with maps of the area and tips on where to go.

Rooms: Spacious and comfortable. The bathroom looked like it had been newly remodelled. The decor was a little dated but seemed to fit the ambience of Fort Lauderdale.

All in all, a decent place to stay. Please lock your door (stupid me), we had other guests walk in on us by mistake. No big deal, but I should have been better a locking the door.

Would I stay here again? Yes, if I was on a budget or had a family with me. Part of me also wanted to fork out a bit more dough to stay in a better location with a little more action and where you didn't have to walk a mile for a coffee or for breakfast in the morning. All in all, the hotel was a comfortable stay, just a bit out of the way.

  • Liked — Cleanliness, staff was friendly and accomodating. Quiet. Great little pool. Ambience.
  • Disliked — Location was a little out-of-the way for somebody without a car. Old-fashioned decor.
