After reading so many positive reviews here we took the plunge and booked three nights at the Cocobelle for our trip to Ft Lauderdale. We were expecting to be delighted and we were not disappointed!

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we were made to feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble. We arrived in the middle of the afternoon and our little boy had fallen asleep in the car so Dorothee gave us our room key before we'd even checked in, so that we could lie him down and then do the paperwork when it was convenient. What a great touch.

We had a room with a kitchen (unit 6) and it was immaculately clean and tidy in there, with very tasteful furnishings and everything we could possibly need. It truly felt like home after only a few hours.

The pool is lovely and the location is ideal as it's not far at all from the beach but in a quiet spot. We'd not been to Ft Lauderdale in a long time and everyone on staff was always happy to help give advice as to where to go and what to do. It was really, really relaxing and welcoming. I almost didn't want to leave!

We were really looking forward to our three night break here based on the reviews - and it fully lived up to them. It is located just 5 mins walk off the beach.

This place is personal and friendly without being smothering, has immaculately clean and spacious rooms with great facilities (ours had a full kitchen, but I can't remember the room number!). Nothing is too much trouble for the owner who makes you feel right at home right away.

We accidentally arrived in Fort Lauderdale several hours earlier than expected - although check-in wasn't until 3pm, we were welcomed in at 1pm and given beach towels and told to enjoy the pool. We were in the room by 1:30pm.

The pool was quiet every day, just one or two other users, and the ambience of the place is so chilled and friendly everyone seemed to keep quiet and not disturb one another.

I would really recommend this to anyone.

My boyfriend and I (in our 20's) stayed at the Cocobelle from the 5th to the 8th December. We arrived late on the 5th due to flight delays from London. Taxi was $20 from FLL. Dorothee greeted us at 11.30pm and she was friendly and always happy to help! We were upgraded to a 1 bedroomed apartment (Unit 2) and wow this was gorgeous! We didn't reallly need a kitchen/lounge but we definately found use for it all- This apartment could comfortably fit 6 people, the 2 sofas in the lounge are very comfy!

Every day Dorothee or the hotel manager (Sorry cannot remember what his name was!) went out of their way to ask what our plans were, give local advice and offer help (For example, the first night we were tired and they recommended a takeaway pizza thats close and another day we mentioned we were going to the beach and Dorothee lent us beach chairs). We would definately stay here again!

We stayed here for one week in December from the 19th to the 26th and enjoyed it very much. The owners live on the premises and are very lovely human beings. The resort is kept very clean and is only 2 blocks from the beach. This resort is in a very nice part of Fort Lauderdale. You do need to rent (or have) a car to get around though. I would highly recommend this resort as a place to stay for rest and relaxation on a vacation.
