We enjoy the consistent level of excellence at Ritz properties, but the Ft. Lauderdale Ritz was truly above and beyond. We booked a stay with an ocean front room over the July 4th weekend to celebrate my birthday. The reservation agent Nadia was the most accommodating, pleasant representative of any hotel we have ever experienced and made us feel most welcomed even prior to our arrival. We requested an early check-in since i was going to have spa treatments early in the day of arrival and was told that every effort would be made to accommodate us and that we should check-in at the front desk and they would get us a room as soon as possible. Upon our arrival, Stephen at the front desk was very pleasant and completed the check-in within minutes and much to my surprise the room was ready. The room was great with a beautiful view of the ocean and pool. The decor was impeccable and featured a digital room control panel on the nightstand that was very convenient as well as a tv in the bathroom that was also a nice touch. At the Spa the therapist, Claudia was delightful. Both her expertise and excellent positive attitude provided an incredible spa experience that surpassed even the excellence standards of the Ritz. We had dinner at the restaurant Cero which was very nice. The menu selection was a bit limited but the meal was good. The only detail that needed improving was that the music from the lounge was a bit loud. Great stay, we even tried to change our plans to stay an extra night. Definitely will return.

Just wanted to give few points to future travelers to the area.
First the service at the Hotel was fantastic ( Except at the pool )
the view was not great since we were facing the big indastrial fans from the Marriott Hotel. Rooms is big however the living room ( Jr Suite ) was uncomfortable , one little sofa and that's it ) it was hard to relax and watch tv.
Talking about the TV they have a nice flat screan but no digital channels ( Very odd)
Personaly I don't care for Ft Lauderdlae but I think it is a nice place to saty maybe before a cruise or if visiting family.
Room service was fantastic but extremly expensive.
I would stay in this hotel again

Beautiful beach, nice hotel, lousy service

Fantastic beach, calm blue water, however, worst service we have received in a long time. My wife and I travel mostly to beach resorts 6-8 times each year and usually stay in 4-5 start hotels. From the moment we arrived, we were disappointed with the service we received from front desk, restaurant personnel, pool and beach staff. Nobody seemed to care and guest comfort is not a priority.

There is only one restaurant on the facility, food was ok and prices were not bad.
