“Best place on Ft. Lauderdale Beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013

This is a first class place in the perfect location. The room views are fantastic and the breakfast buffet is the best anywhere. You won't need a car plus you have to pay to park one if you do have one. You can walk to fun bars and relax on a beautiful beach and watch all the funky folks on the beach. Best place to stay in Ft Lauderdale for sure.

Room Tip: eat the breakfast buffet

This hotel is beautiful all around, and very clean. Located mere steps from the beach, it has a private overpass to access the beach. Everyone was extremely helpful, from the front desk to the servers at the club lounge.
Room was spacious and very clean. Staff came around twice during the day to make beds, make sure everything was in order. Bathtub is alrge enough to fit a person over six feet tall.
Pool area was always crowded, but attendants will accommodate everyone as they arrive. The pool will be closed for renovations, and I must admit it could use a resizing, for its oval shape and “free” space besides the steps is reduced, especially when there are couples and families tossing around in the water.
Fitness center is fairly big, but only has limited equipment and the sauna and steam room services must be paid separately, as part of the spa visits.
If you have money to indulge, by all means pick this hotel. You won’t find anything better for your buck.

Room Tip: upper rooms are better, and away from the noise in the pool area (7th floor)

From the minute you check in - you feel welcomed here. The concierge walks you directly to the front desk for check-in; and you are taken care of every step of the way from there. I was upgraded to a large suite (which was incredible) and had fruit and water waiting for me in my room. I was on the intracoastal side of the hotel; so no beach view, but quieter without street noise. Still a great view of the fabulous homes along the water.

The rooms cannot be beat. Very elegant furnishings, HUGE bathrooms and great balconies. I travel frequently and have stayed at several hotels along the beach in Fort Lauderdale -- this one is by far the nicest.

The only thing bringing this hotel down is the area. It's in a very busy part of Fort Lauderdale (and the beach is free/public), so you can expect to see all manner of people and activities taking place. It's not a very luxurious vibe once you step out of the hotel & the open-air shopping center next door isn't helping.

One suggestion: for the price of the hotel; wifi/internet should be included in the room rate. As a business traveler; I am not used to paying for this as most hotels have gone to include this in their rate over the past few years.

Room Tip: For a quieter room - I would ask for a partial ocean view or intracoastal view. If you would rather...

Stayed for four nights while in town for business and had a great time when I wasn't working. The facilities are beautiful and service top-notch as at other RC properties. I had a basic room reserved but was upgraded to a better room, am guessing due to my Ritz-Carlton rewards status. The beds are the best ever . . . such good sleep after a long day of work or sun & fun. Lot's of places to eat and drink within walking distance or a short cab ride to Las Olas Blvd. Yes, it's pricey but if you want to stay in Ft. Lauderdale right on the ocean, then you can't go wrong with this hotel.

We were looking for a quiet get away with being pampered.
This hotel is wonderful for adults and older children.
Rooms and club level fabulous and well worth the extra money.
Get the partial view rooms so noise from street or pool is not an issue.
Pool is mediocre for such a high level hotel.
Lounge chairs by pool need replacing.
Staff is excellent.
Views fantastic.
Definitly come back as soon as possible.

Was the best hotel I have ever stayed at!! My kids loved it and it's right next to the beach. As always the service is next to none!! The only thing bad about it was the food was nasty, but there a lot of places to eat right next to the hotel.

What an absolutely gorgeous property. My husband and I flew down from Jacksonville for a long 4th of July weekend. We reserved an ocean front suite. Stunning view and just incredibly beautiful. This was by far the best part of our stay ( the room itself) crazy crowds everywhere due to the holiday weekend. Went for drinks by the pool. Not great service and poor menu selection. Room service later was fair and very pricey food. Breakfast at the only restaurant was very good. One excellent waiter one day, poor the next. Not the best location if you want to have a secluded trip. Nice spa. Be prepared for many hidden charges.
