My fiance and I spent 8 nights at the Napoli Belmar after an outpatient surgery. We had planned to stay someplace else, but after wanting to be close to the beach, I found this place through tripadvisor. We would have spent the same amount, about $65 a night, for the two places...but here we got GREAT, personal service, FREE WIFI that worked everytime, a very nice pool, and the OCEAN. We stayed in a room that had 2 double beds, kitchen, dining area, and bathroom. It was VERY clean. Air conditioner and ceiling fans kept it nice and cold. It's not new, but it is very nice, comfy, and clean. If we needed anything like extra pillows...Angela (the owner) was very quick to give. She also was very knowledgable of the area and where to go and what to do. We had rented a car, so getting around the area was easy. We were close enough to walk down to the beach and eat at some of the local restaraunts. One of our favorites was 'The Deck' just straight up the road, beachside. Try their desserts...they are to die for. We loved the area, felt safe walking around anytime during the day or night, loved hanging by the pool, and just feeling like this was a home away from home. Great place to recover and great place to vacation. When we go back to Ft. Lauderdale, we will definately stay here again.

Our family of four stayed at the Napoli Belmar for one night 22 May. Angela’s mum checked us in with efficiency. The room was large and had possibly recently been repainted. It did lack character as it was all white and a couple of bright pictures on the walls would have looked nice. The kitchen was well equipped as detailed in other reviews. The small bathroom was dated – we had a shower only as there wasn’t room for a bath. I wouldn’t choose to stay in this room for longer as it was a large open plan room with 2 double beds, sofa bed table and chairs leading off to the kitchenette. It didn’t have the separate bedroom as detailed in other reviews which if we had been staying longer would have been preferred with 2 young children. The floors of the rooms are tiled and the occupant of the room above must have been wearing stilettos so something to bear in mind if you stay on the upper level. The pool was right outside the door and was clean and well maintained with chairs and loungers. When we checked out we met Angela the owner who is a very nice lady who dealt efficiently with our email when we made our original enquiry.

My daughter and I stayed for a week and loved every minute of it. For the price, it was clean, safe, and friendly. The rooms were very clean, and the service outstanding. We were on a budget and I was a little concerned about what I would find, but after reading previous reviews I decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. I paid $389.00 for 7 days that included a nice room with telephone, tv, and a kitchenette. This included daily maid service, and a pool steps from my door. Plus, free parking and able to park close. Also, only 2 blocks to the beach, and the area is safe. I never felt un-safe even though me and my daughter were there alone. We will definitely be back!

Within a span of 30 minutes after landing at FLL were arrived via taxi at the Napoli Belmar Resort. Mr. Tony was there to greet us. We reserved an Efficiency room for four nights; the room consisted of two very comfortable double beds, with a kitchen (fridge, stove, microwave, coffee maker toaster, pots, and pans, cooking and eating utensils) and eating area. The room and its surroundings were spick and span, and spacious; the bed linen was fresh and inviting.

Upon checking in to our room, we were able to safely walk along the Fort Lauderdale seawall down to Beach Place were we had a late dinner and drinks (several restaurants and bars to choose from). We purchased a few grocery items for breakfast in the morning before walking back to the hotel. From our room we were able to see the beach, which was a block away and with the ocean breeze make it possible sleep without air conditioning (the a/c in the room was working just fine, we’re just trying to be more “GREEN”).

From the balcony and the room, we could see Fort Lauderdale beach. The hotel grounds have a BBQ/picnic area and a laundry room. In the morning we were awaken to the birds chirping. We enjoyed our morning coffee, while sitting on the balcony overlooking the pool area and mingling with the other guests on holiday. Checked in with Ms. Angela (owner) and get her suggestions on where we should begin our Fort Lauderdale site-seeing trip. Ms. Angela pointed several sites for us to visit such as The Bonnet House Museum & Gardens, Hugh Taylor Birch State Park (where you can rent bikes), and Galleria Mall all were within a 30-minute walk from the hotel. As well as to how to travel to Las Olas via the trolley that service the area, some good restaurants/bars, and where to purchase groceries. We felt very safe walking around the area during the day and in the evenings and travelling on the trolley, 11 & 40 buses.

Free wireless internet accesses and parking are also available. The housekeeper that serviced our room was very pleasant and chatty.

To save on dining out, I would suggest that you rent a car for a day to travel to the Pulix supermarket or Winn Dixie grocery store located on SE 17th Street and Cordova Road to purchase groceries and other essentials, while at the same time taking a trip to Sawgrass Mills.

A pleasant surprise was the iguana that relaxes itself in the palm tree during the afternoons.

I always read the latest 10 reviews before I make my own review of a place. Being a travelagent in Europe, I do stay at various hotels as on my private vacations, on which we do travel around in the country. On this trip we have driven from New York to Florida and seen a lot of good hotels but also one bad one. We have on our whole trip just been wanting to get down to Ft.Lauderdale and relax at Napoli Belmar. Arrived 4 days before we had made reservations but Angela went out of her way to accommodate us best possible - and it worked out very smoothly for us.
As most of the other travellers point out, the outstanding service provided by Angela and Tony, who owns and run this hotel, is just the topping on the icecream.
All of the property's features have been well pointed out by the last reviews, 2 pools (actually 4 as you are allowed to use all pools on the whole property), good washer/dryer for $1.25, bocce court, gas and charcoal grills several places and just the friendliness between people here makes it great to stay here.Rooms are spacious, and big windows make bright light indoors. They are renovating the place room by room, and as we stayed in different rooms, we have seen both newly renovated rooms (new a/c, fresh painted rooms and nice bathrooms) and the not-newly renovated, which are still clean and well maintained though yes, bathroom may appear somewhat older.
Well, I can find one bad thing about this place. It attracts both families with young children and older people, and now that we travel with teenagers, we tend to forget how we acted when we were here with small children. I am sorry to say that I think some of the smaller children (age 3-6) are too noisy, but heck, thats the way it is. We close the window and dont hear it so clearly, except Sunday Morning at 8.30 - that was just a little too early for us. But this place is great for families with smaller children, no doubt about it. Our children love it even though they are older now (only 9 and 12). and they still have great fun being here.
Thanks Angela and Tony for being so great. As Arnold the Terminator would say it: We'll be back!

ps. happy to tell you that our friends also thought this was a great place to stay - yes, I am recommending this place to my colleagues in the travel business.
