“Great location, service was excellent, but building needs updating.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 3, 2013 via mobile

Great people and perfect location. The service from the owners will make me return. Building needs updating but for the price, we were across from the ocean with amazing service. Will come again. Was skeptical from other reviews but what do people expect for $79? The Sheraton is across the street for $300/night if you must.

Well, the location is very good and the price is cheap for FLL, BUT don't get fooled by it. The room is ok, but it's very dirty. Hair in the shower, dust under the bed...My room definitely wasn't cleaned properly after the previous guests. The MOST AWFUL thing were COCKROACHES everywhere, in the fridge even. The TV didn't work. The staff was nice, though. I would have rated this hotel as average if not for lack of cleaning and roaches.

The hotel is older and could use some attention. The bed and shower worked just fine. Most the hotels in this location are either really nice and expensive or old and trying to survive. I was only staying for one night because I scuba dive. I was looking for a place to sleep and shower. I found that and it was inexpensive. The hotel is located close to the beach. I think the hotel should provide enough shampoo to wash your hair and coffee. I left early and the office was locked. I would have like to have a cup of coffee.

My husband and I booked the hotel months in advance for the tortuga fest. Excited over the price, we should have known better. You get what you pay for. this place is DIRTY! Just check out the Lennon closet pic that we post. Abundance of mold in shower, phone was broke, remote to the tv didn't work. When we asked to check out early they rEfused to refund the money, no matter the situation. This place is great for spring breakers who don,t give a poo about cleanliness for the price and location are great.... But for a couple celebrating their wedding anniversary it's a a disaster..I would rather stay in a tent. With that said we were saved by a local hotel who stepped up to help us out. For now we are out of our money for the additional night we did not , but we are happy to spend the additional money just to be out of there the beach was perfect and thanks to the best western across the street we were able to salvage our vacation. And apparently this sight will not allow me to upload pictures so use your imagination ( picture a rest area on the interstate, that has not been cleaned in a month) and now you have a picture lol but nearly true , thank you

The hotel is older and hidden in the shadows of expensive hotels; that's where the negative stops. The people at the front desk are very friendly and easy to work with. The beach is a 5 minute walk across the street! It is clean and the room had a king sized bed (totally unexpected for $50 per night). I've stayed in very nice hotels and I've stayed in horrible hotels. This hotel is cheap yet clean and accommodating, which is a very rare find. Don't waste your money at the significantly more expensive hotels nearby if you're on a budget.

Room Tip: Ask for the corner room on the 3rd floor; huge and has a great view!

The place is too old, even if you look for an affordable place to stay, at least it should be clean. The room had cockroaches everywhere. The beds looked disgusting with dark sheets and covers. Furniture and accesories are old and in a bad condition. Location is great, close to the beach but I do not recommend this motel at all. Staff was helpful but it is not worth it.

I stayed in room 307. Most of these reviews are extremely exaggerated. There are no cockroaches. I am in college, was looking for a cheap stay for spring break. This motel is across from the beach, close to the shops an very affordable. The bed was comfy. Yes, the TV was old, so what? You're here for the beach, not the amenities in the hotel room. I enjoyed my stay here and would recommend to anyone!
