This I thought was going to be the best of the 5 hotels we had picked for our Florida holiday but turned out to be disappointing, it was also the most expensive. The room itself was lovely, very comfortable bed, living area with modern kitchen and a large balcony with a sea view but there was extensive building work on either side which we had to try and ignore. The hotel had the feel of a business hotel, many of the guests seemed to be attending conferences and sat around the poolside in business suits with their laptops on - I felt like apologising for wearing shorts and flip flops. The receptionists were very polite and attentive. This hotel is not fully up and running and needs some softening touches and more facilities and will probably be better in time. Would I stay here again, probably not.

Booked the Hotel with HotelsClick.com, now my third time using their service - cheap and professional.

Anyway, the hotel was great, a tip is to request a smoking room as they are all sea view rooms so we got an upgrade!

The rooms are beautiful, and I've never had a better nights sleep at any hotel. The mattresses were great, the room was quiet, the staff were curteous and had my car ready for me as soon as I called down.

Perfect stay, good location.

My wife and I just wrapped up a three night stay, May 8-11 '07. I am a Hilton Diamond member, so this cost us only the parking fee for our rental car. We saw some of the bad reviews, but have to disagree!!

We received Diamond treatment the entire time. A great room with a full kitchen, separate bedroom, and a huge double sink counter, jacuzzi tub and separate shower bathroom. Two balconies joined from the living room and bedroom. Everything was clean and crisp. Bought food locally for breakfast and snacks (Publix and Winn Dixie a mile or two away). Saved a bunch using the kitchen and the cleaning folks did our dishes everyday.

There is construction on both sides of the hotel, but we didn't notice it much at all. The sliding doors on the balconies are heavy hurricane proof style and knock down 90% of all outside noise. I guess if you were sleeping at noon, you might be bothered, but we were up and out most of the day.

I have to disagree with some comments about the staff. Our experiences were great. An older gent (Ed, I think? ) brought us room service one night and went out of his way to make the setup and service excellent. The food was good too! The valet parking staff was quick and friendly, opening doors and helping with our packages.
We were greeted with smiles anywhere we went. Most of the local businesses we visited were much the same, eagerly catering to the obvious tourists.

I do agree that Hilton needs to add another restaurant option, gift shop, and improve the in-house spa service. It's a new place, and needs to have a few more of the "extras" completed. Overall, we were still very pleased and would stay again, even if we had to pay for the room.

as am usually a big fan of hilton family hotels and had seen the hilton under construction in ft. lauderdale for several years before it opened, my recent stay at the new hilton fll beach was a significant disappointment . the indifferent attitude of most staff began as soon as i checked in. although i am hilton diamond (highest level of hilton's loyalty program) and the hotel was not full, i did not receive any room upgrade, even when i asked for it. instead, i was given the smallest room type in the hotel and one which overlooked a huge, very noisy construction site (the north side of the hotel will face the new w hotel fll. despite representations on the hilton website and elsewhere that the hotel is full service, there is not, in fact, any full service restaurant at the hotel other than a small, informal coffee shop with a very limited menu and a tiny breakfast buffet. don't expect any friendly "hellos" from hotel staff that you may pass in the hallway either, as they have clearly had no training on guest service. further, the required valet parking at the hotel was very slow and the attendants were also unfriendly. i one time walked out of the hotel holding a parking claim ticket in my hand and toward the valet office yet for several minutes the attendants continued to chat and laugh amongst themselves before they bothered to ask whether i needed my car. the day after checkout, when i needed a copy of my bill, the front desk attendant was unable to fax me a copy for several hours and then only after 4 phone calls to her asking for a copy. needless to say, without a significant improvement, i will not stay at this hotel again and could not recommend it to anyone else. if one wants an overpriced beach hotel with indifferent staff and lousy service, you can easily head to miami where that is the norm. in ft. lauderdale, however, there are other nice hotels with excellent service that will be happy to host you during your stay, such as the riverside hotel on las olas or the wonderful lago mar on the beach.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Hilton from Friday-Monday the last weekend in April. We had a great time. The weather was flawless and the location of this spotless new hilton was perfect. The beach was just across the street which made it so easy to enjoy, not to mention the beach seemed much more private than the beach south of the hotel.

Beach: Beach was great, water was perfect. Hilton has someone on the beach to provide towels, chairs are 10dollars to rent which is what I have seen everywhere I have gone in FL.

Pool: overlooks ocean, great for watching the sunrise. we didn't have any issues with chairs. pool temp was perfect.

Hotel service: Very nice, we were able to check in our room at 9am. Helped book dinner reservations and gave us a coupon for a free appetizer (charlie's crab- i highly recommend eating there) they Let us check out at noon and held our luggage until we left for our flight later in the day.

*hotel does not have a shuttle service as of yet
*water seems a bit discolored

Food: Very expensive for food. Poolside service was quick and very nice. 15 dollars for 3 chicken fingers and french fries. But you are paying for convenience, soda is $4.00. Staff is friendly and willing to help you and the bar tenders were very fun and made great drinks. Breakfast buffet is about $25/person (we never tried it, but heard it's good)

Location- Close to water taxi, no grocery store in real walking distance, difficult to get any necessities like bottled water (we didnt rent a car)

Construction- There are two buildings being built on either side, we didn't have any issues with noise except Monday morning it was a little distracting but we were up early everyday.

I would go back here, although I bet in a year or two the prices will jump and it will be out of my price range. Overall, a really great place, beds were one of the best I've ever been in and everything was brand new. Plasma tv's and beautiful bathroom space. I would reccommend anyone to go here, bear in mind the fact that it is brand new and they still do not have everything up and running. If you like going to hotel and not venturing anywhere else to eat then this isn't the place to go, however i would go back in a heart beat.

  • Liked — location to beach/ cleanliness
  • Disliked — no grocery or decent convenience stores close by...no shuttle service
