“Beautiful hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2008

Stayed here one night pre-cruise. Loved it. Got a high floor with ocean view. Yes, we faced construction, but it's Florida, where isn't there construction? Enter the room in hallway, bathroom on side, then bedroom, then a sitting/kitchen area, out to balcony. Loved the setup. Clean and quiet. Pool area very nice, beach across the street. Will stay longer next time our ship leaves out of Ft. Lauderdale! Did not eat at any restaurant or shop at the hotel. Whole Foods, Publix, restaurants all within a mile or two.

I don't even know what to say!! I want to go back right now! LoL I love my house but I really really DID NOT want to leave this hilton! You can not beat the price, it was an absolutely beautiful hotel. Everything about the entire hotel is perfect! We had the Best Bellmen named Carlos, he became our best friend he truly made our stay better! The room decor was great! I would use it in my own! We had a one bed two bath ocean view room on the 19th floor. We got an awesome wrap around balcony we could also see the intercostal! The staff there was wonderful to us! They were all around great. We're never going to stay anywhere else. IT was a prefect walk across the street to the beach. Tere was a starbucks right downstairs. So much I can even write about it all ! Highly reccomend this placE!

We just returned from a 4 night stay at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort. We had a studio which was clean, nicely decorated and had a decent view of the beach. While we were on the side of the hotel, most of our view was of the construction going on at the "W" but that was not the Hilton's fault. Service was, for the most part, very good. Calls to front desk were answered promptly, the bellmen were efficient and friendly and the pool attendants went out of their way to make you comfortable. Location was also great as we didn't rent a car this time. Most dining spots were within walking distance and we only took a cab once. Sun Trolley is also convenient from here.My major complaint is about the pool layout. Very awkward and cramped with loungers. So much so that, if you wanted to turn your chair to follow the sun, it was a major issue. Especially if you were sitting on the front of the pool facing the ocean. The pool area also seems cut up and not very well planned. It doesn't hold a candle to the Marriott Harbor Beach Pool. Also the lobby was a bit disappointing. The restuarant/lounge was up on the 6th floor by the pool and as a result, there wasn't much activity in the lobby area. The hotel just doesn't seem to flow as well as it should. It was great to try a new hotel and we got a really good rate but I'm not sure I would stay there again.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Hilton. We booked it on Expedia because we had a credit. Based on other tripadvisor reviews it seemed like a terrific choice. We loved the hotel. We usually stay at Starwood Hotels (Westin, W, Sheraton) because I have a lot of spg points. However we decided to try something new.

The Hilton is terrifically located, close to the action, but far enough away that it is peaceful. You can walk everywhere you need to go.

The hotel reminded me of a W Hotel, everything from the décor to the service-level. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite, even though at the time I wasn't even a HHonors member. The room had 2 flat panel TV's, a couch, mini kitchen, etc. The balcony had a nice view of the water, and was spacious.

Overall I would absolutely stay at this hotel again, and I now have a new found respect for Hilton Hotels.

I stayed with my mother for 2 week long vacation there, it was a beautiful one bedroom suite, with two double beds, two flat screen tv's and a beautiful balcon that you can open from the bedroom side and the living room side, we used to have all our meals at the balcony since it had two chairs a decent size table. Tip- buy your groceries before you get to the hotel at check in they will deliver all your groceries with your bags at check in. You will need to rent a car because there are no grocery shops in walking distance. It really made us save alot of money and I was able to make alot of good quality food at the room. When you check in and get to your room, you need to call concierge to get you all the cooking supplies, you will have to be specific and tell them exactly what you need, they have everything but they dont keep in the room so people wont take with them (which I doubt- but you never know some ppl are crazy!)
we also went to the polynesian show which is only 10 minutes away, that was the only time we had dinner out and it was very nice. I definetely recommend this hotel, and dont listen to ppl who complain about crossing the street to the beach, everyone is crossing the street and that street is beautiful with palm trees all accross the beach line. Hope you enjoy your stay there :)

This is the first time I've written about a hotel ... but my experience at the Ft. Lauderdale Beach Resort (Hilton) was excellent.

The hotel is fantastic and our room was very, very nice. We opted for a 2 queen bed "studio" with partial ocean view. It was $179/night prepaid. The room was quiet with a great ocean view (not as good as having a suite's view) but actually more than I expected. I didn't notice anything cheap or cheesy in the room for this price range.

The beach is across the street and there's no over-the-street bridge or walkway so you must take care when crossing the sometimes busy boulevard ... it's not like a major throughway.

The beach is literally across the street and still convenient ... just exit the lobby and walk across the street and you're there. The lifeguard station is just in front of the hotel.

The pool area is very family friendly with a nice, large pool with two hot tubs running at very warm and very hot temperatures. The pool felt heated as well which was nice.

Services were offered with smiles. Our 3 yr old son was offered treats and candy by staff and other goodies. They were very attentive to us every time we left and returned.

It is a bummer that parking is not available and cars must be valet parked. That adds $29/night to your bill if you have a car. Also internet is not included and that's $12.95 a night more as well.

  • Liked — Quiet, spacious, well-appointed, great view
  • Disliked — The beach was across a sometimes busy street.

We recently spent 4 nights in this hotel,it looked impressive on website and the reviews on tripadvisor were good, plus we got a good rate.all hotel staff were very friendly. The location is a bit away from the main shopping, city centre but if you have a car then its fine,we got taxis while we were there and the cost does mount up . The hotel is beside several other good hotels like the Ritz Carlton ,The Atlantic ,The Trump is opening soon, and another huge one called the W is being built at the moment,so it seems this is the best address for hotels in the area.We felt safe walking around. The rooms were immaculately clean as i would expect from any Hilton Hotel and the decor is modern. The bath was fab, huge and with jacuzzi. The concierge ladies,Cindy and Vicky were particularly helpful and friendly. We had breakfast there which was extra,25 dollars for buffet ,which was excelent, lots of variety of hot and cold foods and lovely fruit.the pool area is also fab,its on the 6th floor ,so you are looking right out over the ocean.the loungers are so comfortable, lots of iced water and the pool staff look after you so well.you can lie there all day and have drinks and food brought to you,all you have to do is turn everynow and then and have a swim! very relaxing ,which was just what we needed as we started our holiday in Florida. We moved on to Naples and the Keys after that and booked other Hilton Hotels from the business centre where it costs 10 dollars for a half hour on the internet.
There was a good gym but we were too lazy for that and chose to have long walks by the beach instead. We will go back there if we in the Fort Lauderdale area.

  • Liked — THE BEDS AND PILLOWS WERE FAB,SO SOFT AND COMFY.
