I can't say enough about this hotel. Let me start with location. You couldn't ask for a better location right on the beach. Crossing the four lane road to get to the beach was no big deal at all, even with small children. I will say, $10 to lounge on a beach chair was very steep in my opinion. The hotel itself is extremely clean, updated, and furnished nicely. Everything from the carpet to all of the furnishings are decorated in a contemporary style - very nice. The valet service was very quick, usually having my car waiting for me by the time I made it down from my room. Again, the $29/day valet is a bit steep, however in this area of Ft Lauderdale you have no other option. I was happy to see the fitness center actually had weights, not just the usual one or two treadmills. The pool area was very nice as well. At this time of the year, there was always plenty of chairs available. Overall, the service the hotel provides is top notch. Everybody was very friendly and willing to accommodate your requests. They were even kind enough to let me use the locker room to change, even several hours after I had checked out. This is the only hotel I will stay at the next time I am in Ft Lauderdale. Stay here, you will not be disappointed.

Spent a week at the Hilton on holiday.

We had a two-bedroomed suite with a direct view of the Intracoastal Waterway and an indirect view of the sea.

The accommodation was of a very high standard indeed, with large, comfortable bedrooms, a sitting area and a very well equipped kitchen. The suite arrangement significantly added to our enjoyment.

Bathrooms were particularly good, with whirlpool baths and a separate shower.

The staff were very helpful and friendly; nothing was too much trouble for them.

Pool area was good and the pool itself was fine, if rather shallow.

Like previous contributors, I felt the valet parking charges were a bit steep and I can see no reason to pay anything more than a nominal charge for wireless internet.

This is a good hotel in a good area of town, away from the noisy junction of Highway A1A and Las Olas. It will be even better when the new restaurant opens. I recommend it very highly.

  • Liked — The spaciousness of the suite and the excellent staff.
  • Disliked — Steep parking and internet charges.

Just returned from a week at the Hilton Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort with my sister and two elderly parents. My sister and I shared a two-queen studio, while my parents had a king studio. We had a wonderful ocean view from the 14th floor. We have never had a vacation where the staff of a hotel was so friendly and eager to please. They were helpful to my parents in bringing the balcony table and chairs inside so they would be able to have their breakfast and lunch in their room. Rooms were immaculate and anything you might need was brought up immediately, e.g. wine glasses, corkscrew, slippers. Bed turndown service at night was an unexpected plus. We spent every day at the beautiful pool and only had a problem one day (the Sunday before Labor Day) getting chaise lounges. Unfortunately, due to the high winds caused by the fringes of Hurricane Gustav and Hannah, we were not able to have umbrellas except for our first day. Everything that has been written about ice water, cold towels and samples of the "drink of the day" is true! You do get this free extra service! Prices for drinks/wine at the pool from Ilios are steep--$11-12 per drink. We did have our first night's dinner in Ilios and found it to be very, very expensive with a limited choice menu. Just opened in the hotel is Le Marche, a cute little cafeteria type restaurant/French bakery, where prices were more reasonable. If anyone is looking for a good Italian restaurant, go to H2o about a half mile south on A1A. The Deck, (3 blocks north on A1A was great for an inexpensive, full breakfast outside. We will definitely return to the Hilton again.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at the Hilton in late August , along with our two teenage sons. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We had a 1 bedroom oceanview suite - beds were very comfortable. The hotel was beautiful, all staff were exceptionally attentive, and every request we had was met with a smile. Very smooth and easy checkin - we had requested a room on a lower floor, which we received. The bellman got us settled in our room and quickly oriented to the city so we could find a place for dinner that evening, and for grocery shopping. We like to fix our own breakfasts and lunches while travelling, and the hotel quickly stocked the kitchen with dishes, utensils, toaster, etc on our request. My son and I used the exercise room - well equipped with 5 or 6 treadmills, elliptical machines, several different weight machines, free weights, etc. The pool was lovely, although only 4 feet at its deepest point. The beach area was great - hotel provides towel service on the beach, free water, and umbrellas/chairs for rent. We had no trouble crossing the road to access the beach. A great experience, and we were sorry to leave. We would not hesitate to return to this hotel.
