I stayed here for 6 nights. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was amazing. Very clean, decent size fridge and the bathroom was a good size with lots of toiletries. The view from our room was lovely overlooking the beach. The pool area is nice. It is located on the 6th floor so you have great views of the beach. The pool attendents are very helpful making sure you have plenty of towels. The bar is great. I thought the drinks were reasonably priced and the bar staff are the best! The concierge here is very helpful and was able to answer all our questions and book our trips. The sun beds on the beach are expensive but worth it. The beach attendents provide you with towels and water and look after your bed if you want to go off for a drink or lunch. I cant wait to go back to this hotel. It is one of the best I have stayed at and the location is superb.

My family of 5 stayed here 1 night Aug. 11, 2008. We had a 1 bedroom 2 queen suite. The living area had a pull out sofa, small table and chair, a desk and chair and a dresser/TV stand for the flat screen TV. The bedroom had the same flat screen TV with dresser/stand, a desk and chair and 2 queen beds.
There was 1 full bath, 1 half bath and a kitchen.
The rooms were very nicely decorated. The bathrooms were tile and granite. The full bath had a whirlpool tub, a seperate glass enclosed shower with a wonderful rain shower head and granite countertop- very nice.
The kitchen had all stainless appliances and granite countertops. No dishes or utensils were supplied.
The beds were great! The matresses were on the soft side, but not too soft-just right! Plenty of pillows adorned the beds(like 5 each!)
Our view was nice, but the under construction W hotel was the main focus. We could see the Atlantic to the left and the Intercoastal Waterway to the right. The very heavy hurricane proof glass patio door did a great job of blocking any construction sounds coming from the hotel next door.
The staff was terrific. I called for extra towels and in less than 5 minutes, a stack of warm towels was delivered. I soon discovered the sofa bed was not made up. Again, within 5 minutes of calling, warm bedding was sent up.

The valets were great, very attentive.
The only drawback is the beach. It is across A1A which can be hard to cross, especially if you have small children. There is a covered bridge a couple of blocks away that gets you across if you feel like making the very short walk.
We had a great night there and would definately stay again.

We stayed 6 nights at the Hilton. Upon arrival we were upgraded to a king bedroom suite with partial oceanview (19th floor).
There was a small kitchen (no plates or cutlery, no pots and pans), fridge (handy!). A nice living room with flatscreen. Partial oceanview balcony with seating. A bathroom with deep soaking tub with whirlpool spa (we didn't try this one) and a rain shower (we loved this one!!!). The bed was comfy, extra flatscreen here, desk, cdplayer and whireless internet ($12/24h).
The bellboy was very friendly and advised us the 'Casablanca Cafe' for a quick bite.
The pool was nice and not too crowded. Beautiful view over the ocean. The pool attendants were friendly, laying out 2 towels per sun lounger.
The elevator was hilarious .. you'll hear when you stop on the 1st and 6th floor.
We tried the hotel restaurant 'Ilios'. It was nice, small tapas, maybe a bit too expensive for what it was.
Overall I would say this is probably the best hotel we have stayed in during our roundtrip in florida. It was nice to return to a comfy room after an exhausting day exploring Miami, Miami Beach, shopping, ..
The one downside was the expensive valet parking ($29/day not including taxes and tips).

The most friendly, helpful & sophisticated staff run this wonderful hotel. It was spotless & child friendly, which was what we were looking for. There is construction on either sides of the hotel however they are both in the finishing stages & little noise is heard during the day & workers stop by 5pm anyway. What impressed me was that there were men checking the quality of the pool & hot tub water content every morning. The conceirge was more than happy to accomodate any of our needs. It does get busy from friday-sunday but nevertheless the service is excellent. The one tiny drawback is that you do need a car or cab to get you to restaurants, (especially those on Las Olas) and a grocery store. Otherwise it was an absolutly wonderful 8 day stay.

Where do I start?
First of all, do not believe any of the negative reviews about this property. It made me so uneasy in planning my trip, but I am a loyal Hilton property user – so I went ahead and booked directly and am so glad I did!

My family of 4 went down to celebrate a 41st birthday and a Sweet 16. We were greeted by the front desk with smiles and were upgraded to a junior suite. We went out to explore the beach and the surrounding areas and upon our return there was a platter of cookies and a glass pitcher of milk with Birthday Wishes… so far so good right?

Because the beach is across the street and the chairs/umbrellas are managed by the City, the hotel does provide you with beach/pool towels and ice-cold bottled water. My 6-year old daughter was also given beach toys by Carlos (valet attendant) courtesy of Hilton to play with throughout her stay.

We had no issues with housekeeping or any of the staff at the hotel as previously mentioned on TA. In fact, we also misplaced a cell phone in the Lobby and Christian, quickly called hotel security and returned it back to us.

The pool area is a little on the small side, but how much room do you need? I didn’t find it to be crowded, the atmosphere is sexy and the view is amazing of the beach. There is also a nice gym and restaurant – all located on the 6th floor of the hotel.

The Hilton is a few blocks away from the ‘hangout’ area on Ft. Lauderdale Beach Boulevard, but if you’re up for the walk, it’s no problem.

Now for some minor hiccups…
There is some construction being done across the street, but I didn’t find it to be a problem and the terrace door, I think is soundproof. Valet parking is very expensive (personally speaking). To beat the $30 a day valet charge – go around the corner to Viromar Street, and park for free.
