I spent 3 nights in this hotel in a week....a sunday and monday night stay and a thursday night stay. the facility is exceptionally beautiful and obviously new. My first stay, my reservation was upgraded to a 2 room suite with a SE view of the ocean, 12th floor...full kitchen, small sitting area, adequate sized bedroom with an over abundant bath area and large walkin closet. The bath was very well appointed with marble finishes, 2 sink vanity, glass enclosed shower, whirlpool tub, all the extras - hairdryer, lighted mirror, accessory bridge. A plasma TV in each space, BR and LR, but I didn't watch TV.. I sat on the decent sized balcony and looked at the water! The sunrise both days was tremendous, well worth waiting for. My 2nd stay I was provided a 2 room mini suite, with a mini kitchen - small fridge, 2 burner range, microwave and sink. Again the bath was oversized, the sleeping room was a little tight....the balconies were great, as was the view to the NE, of the beach of course... There is a restaurant on the 6th floor, as well as a fully equipped exercise room and a beautiful pool/patio area with mulitiple hot tubs and lots of pool furniture. The restaurant was overpriced but really inviting, with a view of the pool.....a large circular bar is in the middle of the serving area, so I thought their primary goal was to sell alcohol rather than food. I used a coupon provided me by the hotel for a continental breakfast one morning.....the value of the offerings covered by the coupon was listed in the menu as $16 - juice, coffee and 2 pastries. The attendant was very well trained, cordial and encouraged me to upgrade to a full breakfast....many options were provided. The evening menu looked appealing, but I had a budget to respect. All the downsides are minimal - valet only parking, one vending machine for the entire bldg on the 2nd floor tucked away in the business center, only 2 of the 4 elevators seemed to be functioning properly - maybe they had designated them for room service and housekeeping exclusively...nevertheless sometimes the wait to go up was a tad bit long....the consistent issue I found to be most frustrating was the overwhelming use of immigrants whose english was great considering their personal situations, but it was a challenge for me to communicate clearly with them. They were all good looking, well dressed, cordial, kind, patient and persistent in executing their duties....e.g. when I first arrived it was late in the evening, about 10 pm and I needed to find a meal before I retired. I asked about a restaurant, but the desk clerk could not communicate enough with me for me to understand that the in house restaurant was available till 11 for a sit down meal. I went out to the strip and found very few choices for a common meal - lots of entertainment though. A similar issue was experienced at the time of the 2nd check in ... the language barrier proved to be a burden for the couple ahead of me attempting an efficent check in, thus my check in was a bit lengthy. The price of this hotel is at the very top end of my available budget. Now that I have explored the Ft. Lauderdale area and have found less expensive and acceptable, quality facilities - non of which are on the beach, but some are close! - I will have to choose one of them to meet my company's lodging policies. All in all, it was a great experience. Additionally, I met some of the upper management of the hotel staff - it is part of my job to call on hotels and set up arrangements for corporate visitors - they were all very sharp, very cordial, receiving me without notice and accomodating my inquiries.....a tight ship! I wish them every success and recommend the facility to any visitor who can afford it!

Before our cruise, we stayed one night here with a couple of families and were "blown away" with how FRIENDLY the staff was. From the moment we pulled up and were greeted by the doormen, porters we knew this was not your average hotel. Paris took great care of us when we checked in, and the concierge (also a 30 year plus Delta flight attendant) was one of the friendliest people I have ever met! We were not prepared at how gorgeous the rooms were. WOW! I didn't want to go on the cruise, wanted to stay there all week! We had a one bedroom suite. Just awesome! Can't wait to go back!!

I just checked in to this 'Hotel'. I refer to it as a 'hotel' because it is just that...it is not a resort. And it is not on the Beach. It is situated across a busy road from the beach, a fact that is concealed on the web site. When I booked the hotel, I had the choice between a "water view" room and an "ocean view" room. Since I thought that the ocean would be preferable to a view of the intracoastal, I booked the ocean view. When I arrived, I learned that the only view of the ocean was through a small window or from the balcony, if you turn sideways. It is, nevertheless, only a partial view...unfortunately the other part of the view is your neighbors balcony and the extensive renovation of the adjacent hotel.

When I spoke to the manager, he referred to the web site (because he did not believe me about the description), and after seeing the description, he said that he understood why I thought that my partial view was a real view, but said that he couldn't do anything about it.

All this, and a parking fee of $29 and internet fee of $12.

The room itself is quite nice, but cannot compensate for the lack of view, the misleading site and the dismissive attitude of management. For a small fee more, I have checked into the Trump Beach resort...truly a resort, truly on the beach, fantastic service.

I recently stayed at the Hilton Ft lauderdale Beach Resort for 2 nights on business in a King Studio Suite.

The property and facilities at the hotel are fantastic. The hotel grounds and lobby are well maintained and the staff is friendly, efficient and accommodating.

The room was fantastic. The studio suite had a separate bedroom, living room with a small kitchenette. The bathroom had a whirlpool tub and separate stand up shower with rainshower shower head. The room was immaculate and the housekeeping service cleaned the room perfect everyday. They return at night to replace towels and turn down the bed. The room has a balcony which looked out at the ocean. The balcony had two chairs with a table and two lounge chairs on it and was quite big.

The gym at the hotel was fantastic with modern equipment and lots of it. There was a gym attendant who brought me a towel while I was working out and water. The hotel concierge was very nice and offered me a bottled water when I left the hotel. The hotel, facilities and rooms are great but the staff made it a fantastic stay and what sets apart hotels.

I will definitely return to this hotel next time I am in town and its recommended to all.

My husband was in Ft.Lauderdale for business, so I decided to tag along for a little mini vacation away from the kids so I could get some R and R.

From the moment we walked in the lobby, all attention was on us. The front desk staff were very pleasant and were full of smiles. We received a complimentary upgrade, as we are Hilton Honors members.

Our room was incredible. We had a view of the city and ocean. We were on the side next to the construction, but I must say it really wasn't too bad. The bathroom was nice with a very large tub and walk in shower... and it was HUGE!! Plasma TV in the bathroom and in the living room/sitting area. Nice large kitchen... though we didn't end up using it.

The pool area is very nice.. very comfortable chairs and pool beds with shade. Pool attendants were very attentive. Was offered water mists, frozen fruit, etc. The view from the pool area is absolutely amazing.

We had breakfast at the restuarant next to the pool. They had a very nice breakfast buffet, however, it is a little pricey. We were lucky to get free breakfast with our rooms, another perk for being a Hilton Honors member.

This is a very nice hotel - well worth the price. The beach area is also very clean.. I can't wait to bring my little girls back with me next time!
