Just returned home from a 4 day stay at this beautiful new Hilton. We thought the property was luxurious and when completed will be an amazing place to stay. We did encounter some problems with a shortage of pool loungers, and inconsistant housekeeping, but management took care of us and fixed whatever they could. May have been overwhelmed with so many family groups during holiday week.
Pool area is lovely , water temp is pleasant, and beach is across some traffic, but right across the street.
Great area about a ten minute walk to lively restaurants and little shops. Trolley ride over to Las Olas very convenient. Also local bus right outside to take you to Galleria Mall.
Will be in good company once the W and Trump on either side are completed!
Disagree with previous poster about the airline web check - in. There were 2 computers in the lobby for complimentary check - in and to print boarding passes.
No laundry machines in our unit, as another previous poster stated.
Concierge desk ( Sheryl) is very pleasant , helpful, and has a wonderful attitude which will help make your stay even more pleasant! Staff in general is very polite and anxious to please the guests.
Looking forward to a future visit once all work is complete!

Great location, beautiful rooms and super-friendly staff but be advised: if you book a room here thinking you can fix a few meals in the very nice kitchen, there are no grocery stores within walking distance of the hotel. You'll find a 7-11 about 3/4 of a mile away in either direction but you can't buy so much as a bag of chips or a jar of peanut butter at or near the hotel. We wanted breakfast and snacks to keep in the kitchen and ended up lugging our sorry-looking apples and bananas and soon-to-be-outdated milk and juice from the 7-11. We're used to walking everywhere so figured we wouldn't bother renting a car (and parking it for $27 a day). That's manageable as long as you're flexible about food. This is not an inexpensive hotel--doesn't seem too much to ask that they have the basic hotel gift shop amenities available (snacks, newspapers & magazines, etc).

We booked this hotel for a ten-day stay over the Christmas holidays based on Tripadvisor comments and we were not disappointed. Our two bedroom suite was not ideally configured for our family - our son wound up on the couch in the living room, but he had his own 37" flat screen so he did not complain too much. We were on the 25th floor with a small ocean view terrace off the master bedroom and a wrap around terrace facing the Intercoastal and the house shared by Burt Reynolds and Loni Anderson years ago. The effect was spectacular.
The modern furnishings were very tasteful and the beds comfortable. Housekeeping kept the room spotless and recharged the amenities at a good clip.

The hotel's breakfast buffet for 2 at Ilio's was included in our rate (make sure you get your vouchers at check-in) and we were very pleased with the quality, although they could use more variety of hot items. Lunch is even better with a great burger and gourmet salads. The mediterranean style breads are also great.

The conceiege staff can point you in the right direction for dinner.

I have a few small criticisms. First, neither the gift shop nor the main restaruant are open yet. There are many dinner options within a short walk, but if you want to stay on the property you are limited to the Ilio's coffee shop. If you want a magazine or a beach novel you'll be walking to the Sheraton. Second, as the hotel filled toward the New Year's peak, the shortage of lounge chairs by the pool led to people going down at 7 a.m. to place an item on a chair and reserve, and also some disputes between guests. An additional ten or twenty chairs might solve the problem. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that the hotel provides only towels and water on the beach. Beach chairs and umbrellas are an extra charge, which is paid to a private company.. For a family of four, four chairs and an umbrella would run you $55 for each day on the beach. Third, I find a $27 parking charge a bit high. as this not a downtown location.

None of these problems would keep me from returning. I would probably invest in a few cheap beach charis and towels on arrival and use the beach more. It would also be nice if you could get a two bedroom suite with a king in the master and two full or queen beds in the other bedroom for families of four.

Overall a gorgeous hotel in a great location with friendly staff. I miss it already.

we arrived at the hotel after a long flight from heathrow, london and we were amazed at the staff, how nice the hotel was, where it was positioned, and above all the rooms, we had a balcony room and it was spacious, tasteful, comfortable, the bathroom was massive, the beds were the best I have ever slept in. the pool and hot tubs were large and clean with nice ocean veiws. all I can say is we were sad when we left for our 5* cruise around the caribbean. if you have any questions while you are there the staff are all happy to help, the receptionists helped to improve every aspect of our stay, and the cheif consierge was amazing!!!!
6*!

The good: Very nice facility. Great room, with a terrific view of the ocean. Just across the street from the beach. The hotel keeps a “beach concierge” on the beach to hand out towels. Great pool with two hot tubs. Very attentive staff. The room has a good desk with a comfortable chair. Huge bathroom with a great shower.

The bad: Turn down service each night as promised? Only once in our five night stay. Want some towels at the pool? Forget it in the afternoon; they were chronically out. Want a newspaper other than USA today? Not here. There’s no shop on the property. “Try the Sheraton two blocks down or we’ll send someone for you,” said the desk clerk. Need to print four boarding passes for your flight home? Be ready to shell out $16 in the business center. Want some peace and quite? Not on the south side of the building. Construction on the high rise next door created constant noise starting early in the morning. There’s nothing quite like being awakened by a concrete saw at 7AM when you’re paying over $700/night.

The ugly: Construction workers on the high rise next door with their binoculars.
