Arrived to a weird reception area it seems Fort Lauderdale and the Hotel designers have desided to shrink the reception area to all these new hotels it what looks like a airport waiting room, (more hotel rooms per sq)I've been in the Atlantic as well same design. Don't be fooled by the Quad Studio it is the same size as an average bedroom with a sink Microwave and fridge not the huge room expected via their website, yes there are probably larger rooms or suites but you will be paying heavily for it.
There is considerable construction work at present on both sides two large hotels are being built and to be honest the double glazing on the rooms was not all that good so awoken at 7.00 am every morning with construction workers. I also think that the main round outside should have pedestrian lights its taking your life in you hands to get to the beach
The breakfast I thought expensive and this "breakfast themed" room for also for evening meals. it that looked like a casual dinery for a hotel of this size the dining room is very very small I wouldn't eat at night there again it also has the atmosphere of a airport eatery and the bar is non existant same place as the breakfast room, what clientel are they appealing, too you couldn't really dress up and go downstairs for a drink/cocktail you felt silly, so went elsewhere
The staff are extremely attentive to the point I felt intrusive, every morning everyone of the pool team individually came round and said hello then the gym instuctor so over an hour you had the same morning coversation with each individual staff member but maybe I'm being petty, The reception area there are at least 10 staff to get through to go to the lift all the smilly and hellos wore me out.
The staff are good it just seemed there were too many of them and too attentive, obviously it has yet to establish itself but I found it was so new there was no atmosphere, would I go again yes but would choose the Marriott Harbour Beach first.
However the rooms are beautiful clean, lush carpets everywhere but at the moment it doesn't quite live up to the hype
