We returned from our cruise 11/18/07 and booked one night at this hotel - Arranged so we thought for shuttle service at 6:00
with a flight leaving at 8:30 - The shuttler driver was almost
45 minutes late and the staff was not in the least concerned,
we had two elderly ladies with us and they were becoming very
upset at the delay in arriving at the airport. We were the last
persons allowed in line for our flight after we took a 25.00 taxi
ride - Also the back door was locked to the lobby - upon asking
if the door could be opened to allow the ladies to enter and get
out of the pouring rain we were advised that we would have to
walk all the way around the hotel in the rain hauling 8 bags of
luggage, as the night clerk did not want to get shot.... Give me
a break she could have been shot from the front door just as easy. The rooms were very comfortable but the morning staff
lacked any kind of customer service. Beware if you have an early
morning flight you might want to reconsider this hotel as the
driver does not arrive at work on time and is the least bit
concerned as to your needs. We have yet to receive any kind
of apoligy from the hotel as to our delay and inconvenience.
Sleep Inn in Dania is alot better place to stay.

This hotel is very rapidly becoming an all around hotel for cruise passengers and business travelers. There was some construction going on but it is nearing the end of a massive overhaul. Family owned, the hotel has the little extras and attention that travelers appreciate.
The hotel is 50's quaint with many modern touches. The body of the hotel surrounds a courtyard with a pool and outdoor patio of the main restaurant.

Rooms on two floors in a King or Two Queen configuration facing the courtyard. Beds are new and great quality. The decor was charming with very pleasant colors from the granite in the bath rooms to bed linens. Rooms have a good sized desk with free WiFi and morning paper. Microwave and refridgerator make the room a place you would not mind spending the day just to kick back. Cable TV with a DVD player, irons and ironing boards and coffee maker are the nice touches
that make your stay even more comfortable. NO FUNKY ODORS!!! The hotel
also offers a sports bar for guests. The restaurant and sports bar were within days of opening so I have no critique of the food or menu selection however with the attention to detail I am confident that both will be above average or better. Very nice large meeting room with AV compatabilities.

The shuttle service is prompt and at no charge. Our shuttle drivers were very entertaining pointing out places to eat and places of interest.

This is a great hotel for groups, families (some rooms are adjoining),
business travelers and cruise passengers sailing out of the Port of Everglades. Hotel will have jacuzzi suites and honeymoon accomodations
in the near future.

I was with a group of 7 couples and 5 couples booked through a travel agent and 2 individually. The motel is doing extensive remodeling with the workers working 7am through 9pm daily. there was noise through out that time, especially drilling. The rooms were clean but some had a mini refridgerater, coffee maker and microwave, while other rooms did not have even a coffee maker. the rooms were in need of renovation.

The staff were not professional, using the computer during the day so customers were not able to access the computer and talking to each other about a planned staff party while customers waited in line for help.

Their free shuttle only runs on a limited basis with only one driver and if he is out, there is no transportation offred to the airport or cruiseport.

Their breakfast is coffee, juice and packaged mini coffee cakes.

The staff was very courteous . The rooms were clean and very nice. Some of the facilities were being remodeled due to last years storms. The owner went above and beyond to provide a needed service to us. The shuttle service provided pick up at the airport and service to the cruise port so that we could celebrate our 58th anniv. with out any problems.
