I was with a group of 7 couples and 5 couples booked through a travel agent and 2 individually. The motel is doing extensive remodeling with the workers working 7am through 9pm daily. there was noise through out that time, especially drilling. The rooms were clean but some had a mini refridgerater, coffee maker and microwave, while other rooms did not have even a coffee maker. the rooms were in need of renovation.

The staff were not professional, using the computer during the day so customers were not able to access the computer and talking to each other about a planned staff party while customers waited in line for help.

Their free shuttle only runs on a limited basis with only one driver and if he is out, there is no transportation offred to the airport or cruiseport.

Their breakfast is coffee, juice and packaged mini coffee cakes.

The staff was very courteous . The rooms were clean and very nice. Some of the facilities were being remodeled due to last years storms. The owner went above and beyond to provide a needed service to us. The shuttle service provided pick up at the airport and service to the cruise port so that we could celebrate our 58th anniv. with out any problems.

Last May, we took a cruise and needed a place to stay prior to departure. Many hotels were all ready booked and those that were still available were in the $250-$300 range. Despite some negative reviews, we stayed at the Rodeway. It was much better than we expected. The pickup at the airport was somewhat slow, but the driver, a retiree from up north who spends his winters in Florida, was a real pleasure. He pointed out the best restaurants, later drove us to the one we chose and picked us up. There was still some construction going on and the hotel restaurant was closed, but the room was clean and comfortable. I don't think the sound proofing in the rooms was the best, but noise was not a problem. The pool area was fine and they even provided transportation to the cruise ship the next day. Rodeway is not the 4 Seasons, but for a place to stay prior to a cruise or a flight, its both a comfortable place to stay as well as a bargain.

I was very pleased by the accomodations and cleanliness of our room. Everything was to my liking; clean sheets, comfortable bed, extremely clean facilities, friendly staff, etc.
Nadine at the front desk was an excellent receptionist. They made us feel very welcome. As for the outdoors, just like home.
