We selected Angela's based on Tripadvisor reviews and, ultimately the price and amenities. We were traveling pre and post cruise with a large group (16) of family ranging from 3 to 70-ish so, it was essential to meet the varying needs of all and Angela's lived up to expectations. Some of us are seasoned travelers and accustomed to staying at mid to upper level hotels and resorts while others were first time travelers.
Angela's rooms are very clean and well kept. I believe all have tile flooring, kitchenettes or full kitchens with full size fridge. On the front end of our trip, we had a 1 BR suite that was plenty for our family of 4. The kids slept in fold-out bed while wife and I had BR. Now, keep in mind, the amenities will not remind you of the Ritz Carlton but, what you are paying for here is location and the small hotel/motel feel.
There is a Trump tower going up adjacent to the property and it does provide some construction noise during the day (I believe they work approx. 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 Monday through Saturday). The noise is only audible from the outside as, once you are inside, the AC will drown out exterior noise. We did not view this as a nuisance at all and, in fact, provided something for us to watch while at the pool.
Overall, we enjoyed Angela's and the opportunity to get to know Reggie while we were there. Reggie provided great "concierge" service; guiding us to area restaurants, etc. I would recommend this to families traveling with children, budget travelers, and large parties. Enjoy this place while you can. The Angela's Resorts of our country seem to be rare.
