“Lovely Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Very friendly service the night I arrived, everything was so clean, and the place was retro cool. After I left, I discovered I was missing an article of clothing, called the front desk, they located it, and held it for me (Aqua was on the way back from Miami). Recommend this hotel highly.

Thank you Amanda for making us feel so welcome. Pick up a chair, sun umbrella and pool towel, walk a block to the beach and enjoy the warm water. Come back freshen up and walk to one of the nearby restaurants. Return to hotel after a stroll and SLEEP ! If you stay here with children just remember to take milk / food and pop in your fridge ! Sad was only one night stay. And again thank you Amanda for helping me find misplaced car key !!

Room Tip: Rm 1302 has 2 enormous beds and a sofa bed. Can comfortably sleep 4 adults and a child - even if adu...

ScottishDiva,
We could say the same; WOW what a great review! We know how hard traveling can be, and we're always happy to help out with items like free beach chairs and umbrellas. We don't nickle and dime items and always provide the most competitive rates in the area. We hope that you're able to come and visit us again soon. Take care, NBV

This is my second visit this year and will return as it is a most pleasant place. It is only a block from the beach , but has two well maintained pool areas. The room was spotless and visited dailey by housekeeper staff. Maggie continues to be their greatest asset. I left an item there which she mailed to me. Will continue to visit when going to Ft Lauderdale.

Room Tip: I use the king delux with kitchen and sleeper sofa. I suggest upper floor room to avoid sounds shoul...

Overall a really nice stay at this hotel. The staff was really service-minded. As an example they helped us to print tickets to Miami Marlins-game that we booked. Also got some nice information regarding restaurants and stores in the area.
The rooms are big (we had a king size with queen size sofa bed) and had a small kitchen area where we made our own breakfasts etc. It was clean and felt fresh. The furnishing/interior felt somewhat trendy with a combination of white/turquoise.
A two minute walk down to the beach where we spent a few hours in the warm water, playing in the waves.
Had some trouble to sleep as the AC-units sounded like a jetplane. Effective, absolutely, but also v-e-r-y loud!
One small note was the slow wifi connection. First I had some issues getting contact and when I finally established it was very slow. But so what...the more time I had to read a book and relax instead of reading emails (why work on your vacation?) :)
Wouldnt hesitate to come back to this great place again!

As every other reviewer mentions, Maggie gives you a big welcome to the Aqua Hotel and is friendly and helpful throughout your stay. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but we were happy to laze around the pool for a while until it was done. Once ready we were very pleased with the layout and the cleanliness and loved the style of the room. The bed wasn't the biggest but was comfortable enough, the air con was a little noisy but not too bad and this was the first room that we'd had anywhere that had a de-humidifier in it. However, that was very noisy and had to be switched off at night. After a good nights sleep we tried to make some coffee in the room. Despite trying to follow the instructions we didn't have much luck and ended up with hot water with a slight coffee colouring to it! However, we messed around with it and got a drinkable cup in the end. We had time to spare in Fort Lauderdale before we needed to head for the airport and Maggie was quite happy for us to leave the car parked at the hotel while we wandered on the short walk into town. Incidentally, we didn't have to pay to park, unlike some other reviews I've seen on here. The only reason for not giving it five stars was the swimming pool arrangement. There are two pools and, when we first arrived, there were a load of kids in one and we had the other one to ourselves. After a while they all migrated over to our pool and once there are six largely unsupervised youngsters jumping in and out it rather ruined our peace and quiet. We noticed that they all went back to the other pool later! We mentioned to Maggie that she should designate one pool for kids and the other for adults only. She understood our feelings and said that she was hoping to do this in the future while adding a slide or similar for one of the pools to keep the kids entertained. The only thing holding this up was the necessary license and, presumably, health and safety checks? Hopefully, next time we visit this will all be done!

Room Tip: Ask for a downstairs room if you are likely to have difficulty carrying your cases up the stairs.

This is our home away from home when we go to Fort Lauderdale! Maggie and the entire staff are great, so helpful and friendly that you never want to leave! The rooms are spotless and the beds are very comfortable. We’re looking forward to returning next year again!

Maggie, the hotel manager, was amazing. She was so kind to us and she always had something nice to say when we met her around the hotel area. Our room, probably the cheapest variant they have, was big and very comfortable. There was one problem for us though and that was the isolation to our neighboors. We clearly heard them slap with their plates and silverwear during their early breakfast. Lucky for us, who use to stay in bed until at least 10AM, that we where jetlagged and early birds at this time.

This hotel is small and cosy, with two small swimming pool areas where we really enjoyed our days. The Wifi was not so good though. Very slow and sometimes it didn´t work at all.
