“When in Ft. Lauderdale - this is the place to be!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Been here for a week in December. The hotel is very nice and well maintained, the rooms are lovely, clean and equipped with everything you might need for your stay. The location is perfect for exploring the town (water taxi stop close by) or a day on the beach. Service is great, Maggie and her entire staff are amazing and always friendly and helpful. We would strongly recommend The Aqua to everyone who likes the small but inviting places better than the big and bustling but impersonal hotels downtown. Just come and see by yourself! To Maggie and her staff: We had a great time at The Aqua and would like to wish you the very best for 2013. Go on, you are wonderful!!!

Really enjoyed our stay at Aqua. Spotless and well equipped room, lovely pool and perfectly placed for the beach. Staff über friendly and nice to have the personal touch of the owner welcoming us, showing us to our room and giving us all the info needed.

We had a 6night stay booked at another hotel and upon arrival we walked down the road on Breaker St. there we found Plaza Bistro and our very sweet and helpful waiter Orlando told us about the Aqua Hotel just two blocks down the road owned by the North Beach Village. Once we walked back to our hotel we had an awful experience, drilling, hammering and some kind of construction work at 9pm, that went on for over an hour and after complaining twice we decided to check out and luckily we got a studio at Aqua for a fabulous rate. The Manager, Maggie was so gratuitous, helpful and serviceable that we were able to book another 2nights at the last minute.

The Aqua is clean, modern, one block off the beach, near everything on Ft. Lauderdale Beach and the best place for your money to stay.

Room Tip: Great for families, great for couples, two pools and fantastic ambience.

What you'll get is a very nice, clean, stylish room a block away from the beach and close to the bus stops/ trolley. It was quiet the two nights we stayed there. There is a wonderful place to eat called The Plaza Bistro within walking distance and with the beach right there it is a perfect place to spend a few nights if you are looking for something a little more reasonably priced without sacrificing your standards. The one and only complaint we had was that they seemed to wash the windows at 8am every morning. It wasn't a big deal but it would probably be a good idea of they waited until later in the day to do it.

We were lucky to find the Aqua so close to the beach with spacious rooms poolside and so much to see and do.Maggi is a gracious host who made us feel at home and welcome. The North Beach Village group has made an important impact to the area with small hotel renovations and an outdoor bistro. This is a great place to visit. We shall do it again.

My husband and I came for a short weekend get away for a concert. We were very pleasantly surprised as the price was very good in a town with high prices for being one block from the beach. We expected an ordinary small room.. and walked into a very large apartment type room with a full kitchen and living room. Rooms are very clean and staff was very friendly, walked us to our room and made sure everything worked before they left us. Free parking on site and just a few block walk from several bars and restaurants. Definitely a place to check out!

I had an amazing stay at the Aqua Hotel in Fort Lauderdale last week. First of all, they were VERY good about moving my dates a week ahead due to a work reschedule. Just like all the other reviewers, I noticed how everyone was so friendly! From the girl that checked us in to the cleaning staff. There was a light out in the kitchen area of our room the first night, we left a note the next day and not only did we come back to an exceptionally clean room, the light was replaced...Did I mention how exceptionally CLEAN this hotel was? Not only our room, which you could eat off the floors if you wanted (and really, who would really want to?) All the common areas, pool, grounds - outstanding! The lit cubes at night were an interesting feature and the HUGE "Jenga" game made out of wood! I would stay here again in a minute and highly recommend it to anyone else!

Room Tip: The studio was a bit tiny - I'd go for a larger room the next time.
