Stayed here in early October. I never stayed in Ft. Lauderdale so wasn't sure what to expect. The staff is great and helpful. The room had comfy king size bed and VERY clean. Continental breakfast filled me up every day with multiple choices. Pool and jacuzzi always clean. Mostly older clientel while I was there. Wonderful place to stay and will stay again. Videos available, local magazines available, computer room with internet access and gorgeous landscaping. One drawback was that the TRUMP Tower on the beach is going up 3 blocks away so there was construction noise during the day; including Saturday. This affects most of the guesthouses in this area.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! A bit pricey but I don't regret paying it.

  • Liked — Quiet comfortable room!
  • Disliked — Construction noise from new Trump Bldg

From the moment you arrive every detail is taken care of. From the fresh cold bottles of water available 24/7 "in 95 degree weather you don't want to be with out it" to the very clean and very nicely appointed rooms they have thought of everything from granite countertops in the kitchen to the Bose music system playing soothing music when you enter your suite. The friendly staff was always there to assist and answer any questions you could have and found them to be knowledgable about the local resturant scene like finding resturants that you might not find on your own. This was our second time back and when in Ft Lauderdale we will only call The Royal Palms Resort home....

  • Liked — From A-Z was a class act. You don't find that very often...

Our 4th stay at the Royal Palms. As always, it was lovely. The entire property is immaculately clean at all times, and the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. We will not stay anywhere else in South Florida, as this hotel has earned our repeat business time and time again. Highly recommended!

We stayed for 5 nights at the Royal Palms and enjoyed every day there. The place has a beautiful garden, nice pool/jacuzzi, and feels like an oasis. We actually preferred sitting around the pool to going to the beach, and the staff would come around with drinks and other goodies during the day.

Before we got there, I had asked them if they could get us a bottle of champagne for my partners birthday, and they not only got us champagne but delivered it with a card signed by all the staff there!! Very sweet.

Our room was nice and spacious with it's own balcony. The decor is slightly dated, but still very nice, clean and comfortable.

[The only very minor issue (and I never did mention it to the staff so it's kind of unfair to say it here) is that the bathroom had an automatic deodorizer that would go off about every 20 minutes. I'm not particularily fond of those things. And again, I never mentioned it to the staff; if I had I'm sure that would have taken care of it.]

All in all, a beautiful oasis in the middle of the beach action in Fort Lauderdale with fanstatic friendly staff.

  • Liked — Great staff, comfortable and clean, wonderful garden and pool area.
  • Disliked — Not much except the room deodorizer

My partner and I just returned from a very relaxing week at the Royal Palms Resort. The staff was friendly and attentive, the rooms and grounds were spotlessly clean, and the gardens and pool area are stunning. The Royal Palms is a beautiful oasis in Ft Lauderdale. Very highly recommended. We will definitely be making a return trip soon!
