We could only stay for 3 days,but we both wished it was 3 weeks.
The room and staff,were fantastic,they just could not do anything else that would have made our stay any better than it was already,
We would recommend Kira Mar to anyone who wants a clean,frendly,well located place to stay in Fort Lauderdale,

The Kira-Mar is a hidden gem tucked away on Hendricks Isle, just a very short drive from Las Olas Blvd., which is the street to be on in Fort Lauderdale. It is a small hotel with only about 8 units, and all the rooms are suites. The rooms are spacious and ours had nice wood floors. We also appreciated the use of the kitchenette, and found sufficient space and equipment there to cook our meals when that is what we wanted to do. The pool is attractive, and there is plenty of space to sit in the sun (or shade if you prefer) on the balcony, by the pool, or near the pool by an area set aside for grilling for those who like grilling their food outside. The managers of the hotel proved obliging. The rates that they charge are very reasonable for Fort Lauderdale. The only improvements we would like to see are more light in the rooms to make reading easier (a complaint that is universal in the world of hotels), and chairs that are more comfortable for sitting. Overall, this is a worthwhile place to stay, but book early, as vacancies in season are rare.

If you like quaint, clean, relaxing accomodations, Kira-Mar is as good as it gets. My wife & I spend a week at Kira-Mar and would go back in a heartbeat. This B&B near the beach is as nice as any place we've stayed in all of Florida. The folks who manage the property were great. They were attentive without intrusive and were knowledgable about the local attractions, restaurants, night spots, shops, etc. This place is also VERY reasonable! We'd recommend Kira-Mar to anyone!
