“Hot, hip, and happening!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2012

The food was good, and this place parties hard! We went during spring break, and the crowds were building early!

“Max Beach changed big time!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2010

Over good few years we been dining at Max Beach and food use to be to the highest standard, service superb. I believe that the restaurant changed hands and massive cut backs been introduced. Just few weeks ago we went there for a lovely romantic meal and the whole experience was poorly. The restaurant prices are high and year ago six of us have spent 7evenings dining there. This time food was such a poor quality with still the same high prices... I've ordered tuna salad which when arrived, was just plate of salad with few other bits and whole "TIN" of tuna chucked on top.... , last time the same dish had fresh tuna stake perfectly cooked and superbly served.. On this note, I had chicken salad which was cold with ingredients straight from refrigerator, wasn't nice. Plate of ribs with few chips and no garnish.. I will say no more.
Some people who never been there before, may enjoy what they serve now, but as for season/regulars it was not the restaurant that use to be and food is as good as weather spoon pubs only with very large price tag attached.
Sorry guys but we won't be visiting again. There are many other places with better service and atmosphere around.

It's not Max anymore and it shows - weak service, mediocre food, overall so disappointing.
