“Poor food”

I had the chicken fried steak and eggs. Bad choice. Chicken fried steak has a lot of gristle. Scrambled eggs were dry. Hash browns were thick and raw, but a few had some crispy grease or something on them. We both had miserable meals. Never going back. Seriously, go to Denny's for a better breakfast.

Although I enjoy eating at the Emeril's of the world occasionally, my heart is always watching out for great local places - where the locals go. The Floridian is that. Although the food may not be low calorie/carb, the taste is great. The Floridian offers Omelettes about 8 different ways and then there's "Build your own". Same with Eggs Benedict. Service was quick, food was good and reasonable prices. Worth the trip for a great local experience. Will be back. (Sit at the counter ...you'll get a great view of the whole show).

Old style Florida. They actually serve Buffalo, but why order that when you can have eggs at night?

Many restaurants in Lauderdale are 'high-end'... especially along Las Olas. It is easy to find places to spend lots, but then we hit Floridian...Basically a diner.. but with a VERY varied and extensive menu. No Linen Tablecloths... No fancy platters with miniscule decorated portions.. but friendly, courteous,and Large Honest portions of basic food. Wish we had found it sooner in our trip
