Don’t be fooled but the three star rating this place has it’s a DUMP! We stayed for one night because it was close to the cruise port. I’ll admit the location isn’t bad. It’s easy to find off the highway and really close to the cruise port but that’s all it has going for it.

The place was supposed to have been remodeled within the past year or two and by the way it looks now it must have been a dump before. The pool area is ok but the room leaves much to be desired. They didn’t offer any in room movies but they had two HBO’s. Also the room was full of ants which is common in Florida but I’ve never seen them in any hotels I’ve stayed in before. I guess you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t stay there again since there is a holiday inn right down the street that looked much better.

The do offer free breakfast buffet but we had a major issue with that. My husband tried to bring me up some food since I was packing and one of the workers grabbed his arm, making him drop the food so she can tell him that he can’t take food out. Immediately a manager was called by another employee and we got an apology but will never stay there again.

Overall I’d give it a 2 only because of their location.

Our shuttle from the airport arrived within 15mins even though our flight arrived around 11pm. Check in went smoothly and we received our breakfast vouchers and voucher for a complimentary drink at the night club. We dumped out suitcases in the room and went for a night cap at the bar. The bartender was freindly and efficient. The room itself was clean, no stains on the carpet and the bathroom only had a small ammount of mildew in the corner of the tub. The bed was comfortale and sheets were clean. The next morning we went for breakfast and met up with some people from our cruiseing group (cruise fools). The breakfast buffet had a large variety of hot and cold item as well as juice, tea and coffee. The food itself was tastey. After breakfast, we headed out for the pool. The pool was clean and the temperature was refreshing but not cold. Pool chairs were comfortable. Our group of 50 had a wonderful time around the pool but unfortuneately the tiki bar was not open due to past weather conditions. The food we ordered at the bar for lunch came out hot and fast, the day bar staff was just as polite and cheerful as the night staff. We went to check out the night club and told the door man we would bring back about 20-30 people and he said to come right back and was friendly. We went back to the night club with our group but we were told we were not dressed appropriately in shorts and t-shirts (I guess he should have told us that when we first check it out) We went back to the pool area and cashed our drink vouchers at the bar for beer or wine. In the morning, check out went quickly as soon as we got up to the counter, the line was long but our large group was all checking out at the same time. The 2 shuttles to the cruise port were efficient and tolerant of our loud and excited group. I would definately book the Ramada for another pre-cruise stay.
