We were looking forward to our trip to Casablanca Cafe as our "special" meal while in Fort Lauderdale. The ambiance, service and view were terrific, and the menu promised good things, but we found the execution lacking. The sangria we ordered was sub par and mostly tasted like watered down wine. Both my grouper (that evening's special) and my partner's walnut chicken came out over cooked, with the chicken obviously having sat under a heat lamp for a while. To be fair, we did not complain or mention this to our server; we didn't feel like taking the time to have new meals prepared.
If we had paid less I might feel less disappointed, but for a meal approaching $100 for two people it was a let down, especially after reading such good reviews.
