“A cute little cafe on the second floor of Neiman Marcus”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2014

I came here for lunch with my aunt and uncle. It is a discrete cafe located towards the back of the second floor of the Neiman Marcus at the Galleria mall after getting off the escalator.
We were greeted right away and seated at the counter. There are also a few tables located in the corner.
Our waiter came over and took our drink orders right away and my uncle who has been here before asked for the popover rolls, which are deliciously light and come with a sweet flavored butter.
The menu has a nice variety of lunch standards such as sandwiches, soup, salad and even burgers. They have a spiced iced tea, which my uncle had and I got lemonade.
Our waiter answered some questions I had to help me decide what I wanted. I ended up going with the bistro salad, which is a nice combination of baby spinach, sliced apples, dried cranberries, walnuts, goat cheese, and roasted chicken on top. It comes with a side of balsamic vinaigrette, which was just right. The portion was good.
My uncle had the turkey burger, which came with a side of fries and my aunt ordered the Tuscan chicken sandwich, which looked delicious.
They made a mistake with my aunt's sandwich order, but fixed it right away. My aunt also did not like the spiced iced tea and they changed it for a different drink without a problem.
The service was friendly and our waiter was cracking jokes, which shows that the employees are definitely happy to be there.
Overall an enjoyable lunch stop.

Only had the soup every time Ive been there, homemade and delicious . Calm atmosphere, which I like compared to those busy " food courts" so very enjoyable. A bit on the small side though.

“nice shopping respite”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2014

probably the most peaceful 'lite' lunch at the Galleria. Spotless, friendly and of course casual. Doesn't hold a candle to Neiman's Boca restaurant; but nice for sure. (Needs more sit down tables.)

“ABSOULTELY RECOMMENDED!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 9, 2014

Lets start with the service: excellent.
To start they bring you their special bread and spread with a raspberry flavor. I ordered the shrimp salad and it was extremely delicious and fresh.
For dessert, they always have a great selection to choose from a decadent chocolate cake, Carrot cake, Vanilla cake, chocolate chip cookies and only on Saturday they have a delicious homemade rum cake. To finalize, you cannot leave without having a cappuccino.

“A huge fan - great stop for lunch!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 19, 2014

I am a huge fan of any Nieman Marcus restaurant, the settings are always elegant and you can always be assured of great service and good food.
The restaurant in the Ft Lauderdale is a simple lunch counter with a hand full of tables off to one side. However the restaurant does feel fresh, clean and elegant - even for a lunch counter.
I was here very early and was one of the first guests at the counter. The waiter was absolutely charming. He was friendly and welcoming.
I had a nice glass of white wine, a lovely shrimp salad with grapefruit and quinoa. The meal was light and healthy. I do think the portions here are always a little bit for the ladies who lunch - which is fine as that is the bulk of their customers. The meal comes with the NM signature popover. The popovers are a favorite of mine and they alone are worth the trip here!
It was fun to watch the counter fill up and about 75% of the guests were locals who seem to come here on a weekly if not daily basis. The waiter knew each by name, knew some personal tid bit to ask them, like how was your grandchild's birthday party or how was your trip to New York? It's obvious this place has some very loyal customers and that is not hard to understand!
