“Great experience and service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

We feasted here with our 3 yr old daughter on vacay and had a great time. Our server Greg was awesome. The entire staff works as a team and you never have to ask twice or want for anything. The food is pretty good, not amazing. But the experience makes up for it. This is customer service at it's best. Congrats Merv for a terrific break from tacky disgusting Fort Lauderdale restaurants!

“Freshest Oysters Ever !!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

Raw bar is great for just hanging, when you don't feel like having a full sit down dinner. However, you can get a full dinner here. Just amazing, clams casino, frog legs and oysters is what I reccommend.

“Good but not Great”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 28, 2013

I was really expecting fresh and LOCAL seafood and was disappointed that all the seafood came from anywhere other than the southeast coast of the US. If I want oysters from Boston or crab from Alaska, I can actually get those at home in the Midwest.

“Very Disappointing”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 27, 2013

We chose this restaurant for dinner based upon reviews on Trip Advisor. G&B is conveniently located at the base of Los Olas in Fort Lauderdale on the water. The atmosphere is great, staff could not be nicer or more helpful, the problem is the food. We were four for dinner, one person had the snapper sandwich. He said there was a lot of bread, lots of bread crumbs on the fish and very little taste of actual snapper. Another person ordered the stuffed shrimp at $23.00. There were very few shrimps but a great deal of stuffing. The fish special of the day was scallops at $24.00. There were 4 small scallops coated with bacon and jam, a very weird combination. This was served with a side of sweet potatoes. The plate was swimming in grease. The only person in our party who enjoyed the meal was the one who ordered mussels.
G&B should stick to just being an oyster bar, a fun place to sit and drink. The main courses are seriously lacking.

“Excellent bar & service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

We first visited in 2012 and were delighted that it had not changedm including the bar staff.
We ate in the restaurant 3 nights and Monday & Tuesday is half price wine night.
Food is excellent and bar is busy early evening.
One drawback closes early around 10.00 pm.
Ideally located across from hotel so a great way to finish the evening or spend an entire evening.
