Picked this resort because of reviews. What a mistake. Room was small but manageable with horrible bathroom. Enamel chipping off tub, floor dirty looking, no shelving to put your things. Biggest problem was that during the night the dehumidifier leaked. Not just a small leak but ran so much it wet our luggage which was 4 feet away. It was discovered by my mother who slipped in it. She is 84 years old. No phones in room so I walked to the office and told the manager what happened. Her response was that it was our fault for not checking the dehumidifier. Well words got exchanged at that point. In my opinion it should not be the guests responsibility to make sure this doesn't happen, the cleaning staff should empty it on a daily basis. She told me we should have heard 2 beeps and a red light would be on. So stay in your room all the time and listen for 2 beeps.
I came back to the room and took pictures of the dehumidifier and took it back to show her no red lights. She said my phone just wouldn't pick the red up. So I told her to walk back with me and look for herself and she said she had things to do. So I sat on her couch and told her I would wait. After a few minutes she walked to the room and looked at the non- existent red light. Didn't say a word to me, just emptied the dehumidifier, unplugged it and carried it out of the room, came back with a mop and cleaned it up. Still not saying anything to me, as she was leaving I asked if she saw the red light. She responded no. I then asked if she at least felt she should apologize for what happened and she said it was my fault for getting mad. I asked for her name and how to contact her supervisor. Her name is Jasmine. My sister- in- law told her that if guest were suppose to be responsible for the dehumidifier they should be informed of that. She sort of laughed and said that maybe they should hang up signs.
It's just my opinion, but an I'm sorry, I'll be right over to see what happened, would have been much more acceptable.
I did ask why I got a room that was so small with an obviously bad bathroom and again she said it was my fault because its what I requested. Just a note, I reserved 2 rooms at the same time over the phone. The other room was huge and in much better shape. Both rooms cost the same by the way.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
