Stayed at the Sea Gate Resort in Ft. Lauderdale for 1 night, August 4, prior to a cruise. I cannot say enough good things about this property. From the moment we checked in, we were treated like true guests. The rooms are clean have TV, refrigerator, microwave, and coffeemaker. To top it all off, the efficiency rooms are huge and the beds extremely comfortable. The kids loved the pool area, The hotel has easy access for those who are walking to some of the great bars on the beach, and restaurants. We cruise often, so this will be our new Ft. Lauderdale pre-cruie destination.

This hotel was not at all what I thought it was going to be.
The rooms were dirty, they had a new manager that was not a very nice person and not willing to make us happy at all.
There were bugs in the room and the towels were all stained.
There was food on the walls in the kitchen.
All in all I do not recomend this hotel.
You can do better...

After lengths of time of research for my family vacation to Florida, that we do once a year, I finally decided to stay at the Seagate Resort.I had booked this vacation six months in advance with a deposit. The pictures made this resort look very clean and walking distance to the beach. It also had a kitchen which was convenient.
When we got there, well it was a different story. The resort did not look at all like the photos in the internet. Neither did the bedrooms, neither the kitchen, the living area, etc. The whole unit was filthy, smelled like cigarettes and other unpleasant odours, the beds were somewhat undone (the resort's policy no smoking allowed in the rooms!). Not only that, but we saw 5-6 live cockroaches. We did not even bother going into the other bedroom to see what was there. We left immediately, and went to see the lady at the front desk. We demanded our deposit back, but she refused . This is false advertisement! I am very, very disappointed.

We stayed here during the Boatshow. Really nice people run the place. The rooms are large and spacious. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we'll be back next year.
