This is the first vacation I could afford in a long time. I had reservations about the Florida gay scene and of going to an "All gay Male Resort".
My pre concieved notions were put to rest as soon as I rang the doorbell. Warren answered and I felt already at home. He was extremely friendly and made sure that I was having a good time always.
The Resort is located within a drive or cab ride straight to Wilton Manors (The Gay Community) and better yet needed amenities such as a pharmacy and a cuple of quick restaurants.
The room was clean and very well designed with a large body spray shower. and maid service was everyday as well as breakfast served every morning.
For a hard working single guy, it was perfect for me.

When we turned down our bedspread in our room we discovered poop stains on the bedsheet from the previous occupants of the room. We were horr'ified. Management did nothing about this when they were notified and in fact were rude, indignant and non apologetic. Needless to say we will not be returning to this place again.

The fiasco here lies with the guest. They stayed with us twice before within the last 2 weeks and had no complaints. I made up and thoroughly cleaned the room myself. There was a fresh stain on the top sheet which was put there by this guest. I can only guess the motivation was to get some compensation such as a free night, etc.

We are #1 in our category out of 25 other establishments. We are an 8-room B&B which is owned and totally operated by us - 2 owners. Our guests use the word immaculate when referring to cleanliness and decor of our house which is reflected in all of our 91 previous reviews.

We've never had a situation such as this in our 10 years of operation.

I've stayed at the New Zealand House three times now, after numerous stays at other gay guest houses in Fort Lauderdale. My stays at the NZH have been consistently great. Each of the three different rooms I've stayed in has been comfortable, and meticulous maintained. Hosts Ric and Warren not only keep the place beautifully maintained, but contribute significantly to the friendly atmosphere of the hotel.

Rooms are bright, colorful, and very comfortable. Nice thick towels for the shower and for the pool are provided daily. Rooms have TV, DVD/CD player, and a comfy bed. There is an ice machine and a heated towel rack by the pool. And speaking of the pool, it's comfortably heated, and beautiful at night. Great for a midnight swim!

NZH is located off the main thoroughfare, and is therefore quiet and relaxed. There are no overlooking high rises, so it has a private feel. Yet you can walk to a major supermarket in minutes, or to the Galleria Shopping Mall in about 20 minutes.

I plan to stay yet again at the New Zealand House when I am in Fort Lauderdale

As always, we had a great time at this hide-a-way in Ft. Lauderdale. The owners are wonderful and helpful. This is the place I always check first for my travel plans to SE Florida.

New wireless internet worked flawlessly.

We had a wonderful time. Everyone was very nice and willing to help out in any way they could. All of the guests were VERY friendly, introducing themselves and sharing cocktails at the pool. This all made for a wonderful and relaxing afternoon lounging at the pool enjoying the south Florida sun.
The rooms were more immaculate very well appointed with everything you need for a wonderful stay.
We will be back in the near future and will be staying longer the next time.. Thanks again guys.
