We have stayed at many different accomodations in Fort Lauderdale, and this is a great one! Our room was very comfortable, nicely furnished and decorated. The TV is wall mounted so you have plenty of surface space for your belongings. There was a wonderful disc of MP3 music playing in the room which I particularly enjoyed. Magazines and DVDs are in the room and changed out daily to give the guests a nice variety of reading and viewing material. As great as the room was, it was not the best feature of the New Zealand House, that would be the wonderful hospitality of the hosts, Warren and Ric. They were truely attentive and we enjoyed quite a few of their complimentary Martinis during our stay. Breakfast is very nice and ready whenever you want it, which was great for my partner and I since we like to sleep in late. The hosts seem genuinely interested in their guests and in insuring that they enjoy their stay. The other guests staying here were very nice, and we made new friends instantly. The resort has a very nice pool area, adequate parking for your car (off the street), and is well-located to the nightlife. We definately look forward to enjoying this establishment again in the future.

Simply a restful stay with attention to my needs and interests. From the welcome at the front gate to the departure the owners/partners of the New Zealand House see that guests are taken care of and introduced to eachother.Simply made Fort Lauderdale worth visiting.

I just recently spent 12 days with Ric & Warren at the NZ house. They are a great couple of guys that tries their damnest to make sure everyone has a great experience at their fine resort. There are only 8 rooms and all are decorated tastefully with "gay" artwork everywhere. All rooms are newly renovated with fridge and microwave. The pool is heated at a constant 80 degrees and a perfect size. The sitting area is conducive to relaxation or fun! A kitchen is opened at 8am and cereals,bagels,yogurt,fruit and drinks are made available. I was provided with all the local rags for the area happenings. Wilton Manor is a skip away, and minutes to beach and shopping. Warren & Ric are two of the nicest and friendliest guys I met in Fort Lauderdale. NZ house is a no brainer for a great time in FT L.

Visit Ft. Lauderdale twice a year and have stayed in many gay guest houses and all have been very nice and good value for the money. The New Zealand House was by far the best ever. Warren and Rick treated us as if we were part of their family and staying in their home. From the spotless guestrooms and sparkling bathrooms to the open galley for breakfast anytime of day to the open bar in the afternoon. We not only hated to leave the wonderful accomodations but hated saying goodby to our new friends Warren and Rick.
