Visit Ft. Lauderdale twice a year and have stayed in many gay guest houses and all have been very nice and good value for the money. The New Zealand House was by far the best ever. Warren and Rick treated us as if we were part of their family and staying in their home. From the spotless guestrooms and sparkling bathrooms to the open galley for breakfast anytime of day to the open bar in the afternoon. We not only hated to leave the wonderful accomodations but hated saying goodby to our new friends Warren and Rick.

We found The Newzealand House on Naked Concerige and we didn't know what to expect.
We were in a jam and didn't have a lot of time to make decisions.
Luckily Warren and Ric had a vacancy for the time we needed.
They were so sweet and helpful. From Helping with the bags to making me the biggest Gin and Tonic I'd ever seen.
It was Beautiful and A relaxing time and I hated to Leave.
If you enjoy being treated like a close friend right away. You'll Love The NewZealand House!

This is an average guest house.

No hot tub. Pool is not very private.

The coffee/breakfast room needs to be addressed.

In the coffee/breakfast room is the washer and dryer.

I do not like getting my coffee near someone elses dirty sheets and towels.

The coffee area is not open early in the morning.

I rate this place a c+

Not worth the money to stay there.

We have been staying at the New Zealand House a couple of times a year for several years. We would not think of staying anywhere else when visiting Ft. Lauderdale. This intimate guest house is located in the historic Victoria Park area, convenient to the beach and wonderful nightlife. While catering to gay couples, everyone is welcome. The owners and hosts Rick and Warren are more like best friends than staff. In fact, many of their friends drop by each day for coffee or a swim. It's always nice to see them too each time we visit. Start your day with breakfast by the pool, then prepare yourself in the luxurious guest room (what an awesome shower) to get ready for the day's adventure. Return that afternoon and find Rick and Warren serving martinis poolside, telling you about all the wonderful restaurants to be explored. If you are looking for a warm, comfortable convenient guest house in Ft. Lauderdale, look no farther. You'll simply LOVE the New Zealand House as much as we do!

As a past resident of Fort Lauderdale and familiar with her climate and world class hospitality;it was a natural for me to choose the warmth and comfort offered at the "New Zealand House".
Warren and Ric[Your host's]endeavour to make your stay welcome and comfortable.They both own a keen attention to personal detail.From the complimentary poolside cocktails to newly discovered freindships,it's a visit you will return to!
