New Zealand House is a a beautiful private guesthouse with a great pool and lovely rooms. There are about 10 rooms in a well kept, two story house, and each room has its own external entrance. They overlook a constantly heated pool, which is surrounded by palm trees and tropical gardens, with sun beds and tables and chairs. It's all clothing optional and a very comfortable environment for it too.

We've stayed there three times now and every visit we find it perfect for our needs. Like the breakfast, the service is friendly and unfussy and you're treated like Warren and Ric's friends. All the rooms have a New England, colonial style and the bathrooms are large.

As gay guesthouses go, there's a lot to choose from in Ft Lauderdale and New Zealand House is ideal if you're fairly independent and need a good size room and pool for a few nights. It also offers the best rates in town, despite there being much worse places to stay for more money.

The location is good for Wilton Manors, where all the main gay venues are, about 5 minutes by car (you need a car - this is Florida) and there are brilliant restaurants on every corner. The beach is good too, about 10 minutes from New Zealand House, and there's all the shopping you could ever want nearby too.

In all, New Zealand House is a brilliant place to explore Fort Lauderdale from.

The New Zealand House is the best place to stay in Fort Lauderdale. It quickly becomes your home way from home. Comfortable, spacious, beautifully decorated rooms. Clothing Optional pool was a great plus. Met many great people from Canada, California and other parts of Florida. Have stayed here many times in the past and will do so in the future. Thanks again to Warren and Ric.

I enjoyed my stay at the New Zealand House, I was made to feel right at home the minute I walked through the front gate. Warren & Ric went out of their way to make sure I had what I needed. The rooms are completed updated & comfortable. The location is perfect for going to Wilton Manors & even the grocery store. I will definitely go back & stay here.

Once again the visit was an absolute pleasure. We love the laid-back relaxing atmosphere always found at NZH. Our hosts, Warren and Rick, were the same welcoming and warm people that have come to epitomize this wonderful oasis of a guesthoust. Floating around the beautiful pool area watching the palm trees blow in the breeze is the life for me. We also enjoyed meeting other guests from diverse areas such as Holland and Puerto Rico on this visit. We believe that we have made some new and wonderful friends.
