“Lovely "Italian" eatery.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 10, 2013

Gran Forno has two locations; both are lovely "Italian" eateries.
In the morning they offer continental breakfast, basically croissants, muffins and large pastries and cakes.
Gran Forno Pronto (just past the Riverside Hotel) has tables inside and outside : the latter are the best ones , overlooking Last Olas Boulevard.
We were not particularly impressed by our waiter, but the raisin muffin and the apple pastry were huge and very rich.
We are Italians and I especially liked the caffelatte: MOLTO BUONO.

We also went to the main location where bread is freshly baked on the premises every day; the shop itself has a wonderful Italian flare; we saw locals and tourists alike stop by to enjoy all the wonderful stuff they offer ! Even in Italy we haven't recently tasted such yummy bread and pizza. Highly recommended !

“Nice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

My husband & I had really good salads here, and of course the best bread (seeing that it is home made)!! Believe they own Gran Forno to the East where you can buy their breads. Menu is limited but it's a nice spot for lunch when you sit outside on the Blvd.

“Love the pizza”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

If you are a pizza lover, this is a great place. The service is not extraordinary but the decor is very nice (Italian modern).

“Very good pizza and sandwiches”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 11, 2013

Got here by chance. I was walking down the Las Olas Blvd with my wife and son and got hungry. My wife had a Rustica pizza. I got a chicken puesto sándwich. Both excellent. The dough they make is great. If i lived un Ft Lauderdale, I would visit this place often.

“Limited Menu but Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Although the menu is somewhat limited all of the dishes: Panini di Parma, Eggplant Parmigiana, Chicken Marsala and Chicken Pesto all were excellent. It is rare to get good expresso in Florida. (Cuban coffee is fine but it is not expresso) but Gran Forno uses Illy coffee which is the best.

The only complaint is their sneaky practice of adding 18% on the bill but ot the credit card receipt and leaving a wide line for the 'tip'. Because of this we forgoed our normal 20% tip.
