We booked here for one night before a cruise. The Sheraton on the beach was filled up with my fellow passengers. What a find! True midcentury Florida historic. The motel is spotless and bed was comfortable. Marie has owned it since the mid 70's. She greeted us and helped us up with bags to the third floor penthouse. The unit was well equipped for a long stay but we didn't use the kitchen. When we got up for morning coffee, we asked Marie how to get to the nearest market to load up on soda, mixers and a few incidentals for the cruise. Marie drove us to the Publix and we took a cab back. Now you don't get that treatment at the Ritz. If you are looking for granite countertops, this is not your choice. But if you want comfort, cleanliness and good service near the beach, this is it. BTW, my husband is a builder and he saw nothing wrong with the wiring. Suspended ceilings are common in lots of buildings. IGNORE THAT MEAN SPIRITED REVIEW BELOW. If the Blarney Castle has room, stay here. We highly recommend it.
