“Mid Century Find near the beach”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 3, 2014

We booked here for one night before a cruise. The Sheraton on the beach was filled up with my fellow passengers. What a find! True midcentury Florida historic. The motel is spotless and bed was comfortable. Marie has owned it since the mid 70's. She greeted us and helped us up with bags to the third floor penthouse. The unit was well equipped for a long stay but we didn't use the kitchen. When we got up for morning coffee, we asked Marie how to get to the nearest market to load up on soda, mixers and a few incidentals for the cruise. Marie drove us to the Publix and we took a cab back. Now you don't get that treatment at the Ritz. If you are looking for granite countertops, this is not your choice. But if you want comfort, cleanliness and good service near the beach, this is it. BTW, my husband is a builder and he saw nothing wrong with the wiring. Suspended ceilings are common in lots of buildings. IGNORE THAT MEAN SPIRITED REVIEW BELOW. If the Blarney Castle has room, stay here. We highly recommend it.

This was my second stay at the motel, its literally a 5 minute walk to the beach and about 15mins to Beach Place Las Olas strip. Marie is so nice she truly makes you feel like you're at home. The building is old but so are all of the little motels around, the rooms are big and clean. If you can afford the apartment room its the best, you get an actual 1 bedroom apartment with 2 full beds with 2 closets, the bathroom is tiny but very clean, a living room whuch has multiple chairs, sofa and a full kitchen. The kitchen includes a full size fridge, microwave, stove, coffee maker, bottle opener, steak knives, dishes, etc.. I love this place and will definately come again! Almost forgot FREE WIFI and FREE PARKING!!!!

Have just spent 3 lovely days in the care of a wonderful lady owner who made our stay a real pleasure. What a wonderful family atmosphere, warm and welcoming. Will definitely return.it was a pleasure meeting other guests, it felt more like a private club than a motel.

Once again returned to this most welcoming motel where nothing is too much trouble for the excellent lady owner.Along with many other guests who return each year to enjoy the comfort
and hospitality we all know to expect. We can wait to return.

We have stayed at Blarney Castle before and have always had a great time. The swimming pool is delicious on a hot day, the rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean, and the girls that work there are always willing to help, whatever your need! I have recommended my friends to stay over the last 23 years and all have returned more than once. Having a disability, the ground floor rooms were also incredibly useful as they are wheelchair friendly. The owner of the motel is one of the nicest people you could ever wish to meet, both genuine and kind. I can't wait to go back!!!!!

i have never been to such a dump,it needs a total makeover.but the owner is a very nice lady who does all she can for you.but she should either retire or sell it.it has very dangerous wiring, and i don't know how it has not been closed down.also the ceilings had polystyrene tiles which are not only dangerous but old and ugly.

Room Tip: always ask for a room with a kitchen

We spent 2 nights here and found it to be a nice little place. ! The hosts are really nice people. We had all we could ask for: The room was so well appointed with a comfortable bed , a kitchen and it was spacious and clean. The value was amazing and you get so much more than you pay for.

Good Stay and we will definitely recommending it to everyone we know!
Thank you
