“A hidden gem directly on the beach!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2011

Wasn't sure what to expect with this hotel but upon entering our front desk agent, Lucy (a trainee) was warm and super helpful. I feel that the front desk agent is what sets the tone of any stay and she surely did an awesome job. Hope she stays here because guests deserve to be greeted in that manner.
Our room was completely immaculate and we got lucky to have the intercoastal view along with the downtown lights, which were so gorgeous at night.
Didn't have to call and ask for anything extra because everything was there. I recommend to anyone getting the villas!!! INCREDIBLE!
We love the location of hotel. Directly across from beach and ample of restaurants and entertainment in the area.
Great for families and couples and singles--For everyone!!
The whirlpool in the master bedroom was a hit as well...bring bubble bath! good times
ONLY downside is that rooms have thin walls and hard to not get a noise-complaint. :0(
Thanks for a great stay! Will Return!

Room Tip: GET A VILLA! 1 or 2 bedrooms

I was leary about staying here with some of the reviews. We were here for the week of April 3rd through 9 for the YMCA National Swim Championships and we really enjoyed our stay.

It was just my daughter and I and we rented a king size room with a hide-a-way couch. The room had a balcony and a small refrigerator, micro, kitchen sink, coffee maker, all the plates, forks, etc. for 4 people, even wine glasses. We had full room service every day unlike some of the comments from people. I think the people that rent the villas might be the ones that do not have room service. We had asked for extra feather pillows and towels and we got those. Everything about the room and the service was wonderful.

Regarding the elevators......they were a little slow, but not to the point that it annoyed me. We did get stuck on one and they had to come and pry the door open to let us out. We were only in there for about 4 minutes before they were right on it gettting us out! A little scary but it worked out fine. There are a lot of floors so of course they are going to be a little slow, but there are 4 of them so I didn't notice the wait like others commented on.

We did not use the parking garage so I can not comment on it.

If you want to be right in the middle of it all....this Marriott is the place to be and we would surely go back again!

We stayed for 2 nights before a cruise with 10 members of our family. We had 2 two bedroom units facing the ocean. Rooms were very nicely decorated and we had great views of the ocean. However, as others have mentioned parking was very aggrevating to so the least. Also, wait times at elevators could be considerable as these elevators also serviced the parking garage for beach people not staying at the property. We also found the items in their onsite snack shop and takeout to be very pricey. Would I stay there again? - probably, but not before checking out others places nearby.

We love staying at Beach Place. We use the lock off of our Ocean Point timeshare to book a week there. Yes the pool is small and in the shadow of the building after 2PM in Feb. but beach is just across A1A, The garage can be a chalenge but doesn't bother me and the elevators are busy on the weekends. But you can't beat the location and we will be back next year.

Overall the rooms were nicely equipped. Perfect for a small family who needs a sink, fridge and microwave in the room. The bed was comfortable. The parking was a nightmare! Drive to the 4th floor to get a ticket to park. Then get another ticket for exiting. What a pain! We almost missed our flight. It took 20 minutes just to get someone to come fix the ticket machine so we could get a ticket to get out of the garage. At the bottom level the ticket did not work. Waiting again to get the same person to fix the ticket machine.

I'd recommend the hotel for it's location and ease of stay. It's not a full service marriott.

We loved this place. We had a suite because there were 6 of us on this trip. The set up was really nice. The rooms were clean and spacious. The only down side was that since it is is a "vacation club" (we bid on our trip at a charity auction), housekeeping wasn't included. You had to pay a fee for housekeeping to come to the suite. It wasn't too bad, but we did have to wash our own towels and sheets the week we were there. The location was great! Right across from the beach, and the shopping and bars attached to the hotel were great.

This place ROCKS! I couldnt believe the staff was so friendly. Usually marriott's are so hard up on rules. But this one even allowed me to check in at 10am! I was very impressed. I was so nervous they were going to say I had to wait but they got me in a room very quickly. The ONLY drawback to this hotel is (like other reviewers have said) the elevators are amazing slow. But that is the only bad thing about the hotel. So its worth it! I have stayed at other vacation club hotels by marriott and this one is by far my favorite.
