“Great place to stay!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2014

We booked a week in room 207 at Manhattan Towers only 5 days before arriving. Russell was extremely helpful and accommodating despite the short notice. Our room was a studio with the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in, a fully stocked kitchen, and amazing views of the canal outside. The beach is a 10 minute walk, and a Publix grocery store is just over the bridge (also walkable, though a taxi would be advisable). The apartment itself is eclectically decorated, quiet, and peaceful. Our room was tidied and re-stocked daily and the staff we encountered were always helpful and polite. The owners make you feel more than welcome and I got the impression that, though nothing dire or out of the ordinary occurred, they would do everything in their power to fix any problems or mishaps. Our stay was truly wonderful and I can't recommend this place enough!

Room Tip: Stayed in 207 and it had a gorgeous view of the canal - very sunny and picturesque.

In all of our travels, I have never come across such an eclectic hotel. When you first pull into the driveway, especially in the evening the vintage tower makes you feel like you're back in the 50's. The property is immaculate and it is obvious that Russell and Joe ( the owners) take pride in their hotel. Every room has its own unique charm and decor. We viewed 4 rooms and I would be happy to stay in any of them. Once you stay there, you won't want to stay anywhere else. This is a hidden jewel.

Big shout out to TJ who looks after your every need, regardless of how big or small.

We have stayed at this boutique hotel five times and it is heaven on earth. It offers breathtaking views with outdoor barbecues and lounging on the large dock and terraces right on the Intracoastal Waterway, where you can almost touch the passing yachts, combined with a tropical garden pool setting, that is also close to the beach. The natural beauty and serenity is enhanced by the elegant, yet fun, decor of the units, which are fully equipped apartments, decorated with original art, antiques and modern pieces that make each a special treasure. View the on-line room photos on the Manhattan website to find the one for you. What makes this property the most special, however, is the character of the owners and staff--it is old style, genuine, warm, full service hospitality (unasked, they delivered us an umbrella when we were dining outdoors and a storm threatened). It is the best combination of a friendly, caring atmosphere and total privacy. If you prefer an intimate, up scale, affordable retreat in the heart of Fort Lauderdale, this is the spot!

Room Tip: View the photos of each room on line. It is worth the money to choose a waterfront apartment.

For the last three yrs I have taken an apt here for increasing stays. This winter will be three mos. They do short term stays too. It is beautiful and very well maintained. Best of all is the setting, facing west over the intracoastal watching the sun set over the water is magical. The owners and staff are the nicest people.

This was my fourth time staying at Manhattan Tower. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when in the Fort Lauderdale area. You feel right at home. The owners and staff are amazing and so friendly and helpful. You feel safe and taken care of. The place is beautiful right by the Intracoastal Waterway with a lovely terrass and pool area. The apartments are beautiful as well! I would recommend this to anyone thinking of going to Fort Lauderdale! Just do it! :)

Very clean accommodations and such a beautiful location right on the Intercoastal. Each room has its own decorative touches and uniqueness, it's really ideal for anyone who is looking for the perfect getaway.
The owners are WONDERFUL and the view is simply spectacular.
The beach is very close by but here, you can enjoy Florida without all of the tourists or Spring Breakers!
I would recommend this extended stay hotel for ANYONE looking for peace, quiet and understated luxury.

Room Tip: As an extended stay accommodation, you will have a kitchen and the ability to really "live"...

This place was fabulous. Now, keep in mind that this building was built in 1952 but has had wonderful renovations. The art deco architecture is a reminder of days gone by and yet, still popular today. Our room was 109, great room overlooking the courtyard and intracoastal waterway. Russell and Joe were wonderful to deal with from beginning to the end of our trip. Bed was comfy (and I am a picky when it comes to beds) kitchen had everything I could possibly need and they provide new towels every day which, we did not need because we try to conserve. Pool was clear, big and perfect temperature. From this building you can walk to the beach, shops and restaurants or, if you prefer, take the water taxi that runs up and down the intracoastal waterway. I was there for a reunion and I look forward to staying there next year! This place is a gem and I would recommend it to anyone looking to stay in Fort Lauderdale!!!! Skip the big, expensive, swanky hotels and stay at a place you will long remember.

Room Tip: It is worth the extra bucks to have a room overlooking the water!!!!
