We arrived around 5 pm on a Sunday afternoon, it was a very rainy day, most of the outdoor seating was not available unless you want to get wet. What was available with shelter was extremely dark. Could not read the menu, light above the table was off, only a single candle at the table for 6. The 3 menus provided where kind of confusing with smartphones at least you have a flash light to be able to read them.
There is no craft beer menu, if you need to find out what they have on tap, you need to go to the bar on look at the blackboard of what is currently available. Need to improve the communication with guest and wait staff. I ended getting the flight selection of 3 beers and told the waitress to give me the 1st, 2nd and 3rd item on the blackboard.
The food menu is large with dark brown paper and black printing, hard to read in the environment we had. I remember reading few recommendations from some TA reviews and decided for the Golden Quinoa Superfood Salad. Could not tell what was on the salad because it was dark but nothing special about it, Tasted more like a salad greens with some fruit on top very disappointing.
The rest of the party ordered some appetizers, one being Two Hot Dates, 3 very small crostini slices with goat cheese spread and raspberry jam, again disappointing. White-Boy Asian Fried Calamari with Asian Slaw / Sweet & Sour Sauce / Scallion / Sesame-Ginger Aioli, it comes in a mound of fried calamari sticks, it is a different presentation, it is not crispy, I was expecting something more like a tempura style, but it was fried and soft crust. Again disappointing.
The service was good, food poor, atmosphere outside when it rains it is poor, I would recommend seating inside, also recommend seating inside by the bar section to find out what is on tap.
