“Great Value”

Hampton Inn Fort Lauderdale Downtown - City Center

Pros: good rates, clean rooms, friendly staff, free self-parking in gated garage, many safety measures (room key needed to use elevators). Free hot breakfast, small fridge and microwave in room, small fitness room open 24 hours a day. One half mile walking distance to Fort Lauderdale’s Las Olas blvd with all the great shopping and restaurants (ie Mancini's,Cheese Cake Factory, Riley Mcdermott's) . Close to i-95.

Mixed: has "heated " pool (too cold for my liking). Trolly to town runs” every twenty minutes"(not always on time)

Cons: in room safe not working (even after several attempts for engineering to fix it) ice machine not working on our floor (but they had time to print up a fancy "out of order" sign) laundry dryer didn't dry well.

All in all it was a good experience. We will stay here again.

Just returned from 3 nights at Hampton Inn. We found it clean, quiet, comfortable and convenient. Everyone at the front desk was very nice (even when we arrived at midnight). It is a couple of blocks off a main street so there was no traffic noise, and we never once heard our neighbors (which I found amazing on a weekend). There is plenty of parking and the location is convenient to everything. We will definitely stay there again.

We flew in from Italy for a 5 day pre- cruise holiday and were not disappointed, this hotel is in a great location with all facilities around them from shops, malls, cafes, restaurants, bars, banks, however the hotel itself is self contained with everything you need. All room rates include breakfast and what a breakfast- never seen the likes as much as you can eat and if you are on the run out the door a packed breakfast is provided.
The staff were of the highest standard, friendly, efficient and nothing was to much trouble Reception had coffee and cookies on the go all day.
The rooms were large , clean and with all you need, tv, fridge, tea making, internet, hair dryer- very comfortable beds too
One point i will raise is that the aircon could not be switched off/ and you could not open the window, we like to sleep with the window open at night, however this did not spoil a great break and this hotel has everything and is in a safe area.
Definately recommend to others and stay again if in the area

We recently stayed here for a night after returning from a cruise. The hotel was very reasonably priced, especially for Fort Lauderdale. Our room was very clean & comfortable. The staff was friendly. There was ample free parking, a rare thing in Fort Lauderdale. And the Hampton Inn free breakfast. The hotel is located downtown fairly close to the Riverwalk area. We had hoped for walking distance to restaurants & shopping, but it was too far, and I was leery of the neighborhood. There was however, a trolley stop right at the front door, so it was easy to get to restaurants, shopping & the beach. If you want to stay right in the thick of things, this is not the place. If you a want comfortable lodging with a reasonable price tag, don't hesitate to book a room here.

We stayed at this hotel for one night post-cruise. The rooms were very clean and looked to be brand new. The hotel staff was very helpful in directing us to a good mall for holiday shopping. What I can't say enough about is the great bed in our room. It was one of the most comfortable sleeps I've ever had in a hotel. I'd definitely return if I needed a place to stay in Fort Lauderdale.
