My wife and I very recently enjoyed two nights at The Pillars at New River Sound. Located between a quiet street and the Intracoastal Waterway, yet only a 90-second walk to the beach, this proved to be a tranquil oasis in the midst of busy Fort Lauderdale. Serene and unpretentious this jewel of a property is meticulously maintained. Service is prompt and proper but unpretentious. Breakfast arrived at a table in the courtyard outside our room at the desired hour each morning. We also enjoyed a superb dinner waterside served by the chef. Overall, this was an outstanding experience. Hats off to Jessica, Caroline and Aaron who are all masters of the art of hospitality. Our only suggestion would be to bring a whistle with you. The captains on the water taxis were hard to hale. We can’t wait to return.
