It was very uncomfortable for me to adjust to the carpet odor in room 129 along with the visual the stain on the floor. The sheets for both nights were not pressed at all and looked as it they were placed on the bed, right from the dryer, wrinkles and all.
The second night in room 112, when I entered I had to wipe down the table next to the kitchenette since it was literally covered in grease and stains. I also had to wipe down the toilet since there was brown splatter on the seat. When my husband arrived and I immediately wanted to leave. I didn't even mention to him about the toilet situation. There was hair in the tub and dog hair at the bathroom sink. I did not take a shower that evening.
Since my husband and I arrived seperately I (I arrived first) I didn't ask to be moved from the room because there were male truckers standing in the walkway and literally sitting outside their rooms in chairs staring down from the second floor. I did not feel safe even walking down a few doors down the corridor to the front desk.
After my husband arrived, I showed him hair in the sheets and also told him I noticed dog hair throughout the room. Neither of us slept very well. The next morning when I turned the lights on, there were two roaches in the kitchen. Again, I didn't mention anything to my husband because our vacation was coming to a close and I didn't want to complain. In fact, I told him I was leaving immediately and not taking a shower because there was a 3rd roach in the bathroom in the tub.
If this room sold for $40 I would expect this, but the nightly rate compares to larger chains where the rooms are clean. I am not happy about paying $89-$99 per night for an unpleasant experience. I would not book any future visits at Extended Stay,nor would I recommend your company. However I just prefer to resolve issues onsite with management than rate experiences or complain through social media, Yelp, etc.

We know that our guests have multiple hotel choices, which is why our mission is to provide clean, comfortable rooms at an affordable price that guests want to come back to. The room condition you describe is totally unacceptable to me and not at all representative of our quality standards. In response, I have met with our hotel staff and used your review to help coach them on room cleaning and inspection policy.
It's not common that we get the sort of feedback you provided, and although it is discouraging to read, it will help us make our hotel even better in the future. I hope that you would give us the pleasure of having you as a guest again at this hotel.
